Far Hills Fairgrounds

2024 Rummage Sale 3 days. 25 departments. Bargains for everyone and all ages. Twice a year, in spring and fall, Atlantic Visiting Nurse holds an epic rummage sale at the Far Hills Fairgrounds off routes 202 and 512 in Far Hills, New Jersey. The sale is our major fundraiser.  It helps us provide home health and hospice care for uninsured and underinsured patients. The Atlantic Visiting Nurse Rummage Sale involves hundreds of volunteers and attracts thousands of bargain hunters who scour our two acres and 25 departments of bargain merchandise including: Adult and children’s clothing Appliances Antiques Pet supplies Electronics Lighting fixtures Cameras Fabric and sewing accessories Holiday decorations Sporting goods Furniture Jewelry Toys Books Decorative items Kitchen goods, and more We greatly appreciate your thoughtfulness in donating items to our rummage sale.  Each sale we are overwhelmed with the magnitude of your generosity in donating gently used clothing, furniture and household items.  The variety of your items is what makes rummage such a special event and keeps our shoppers coming back.

Join the EEC Naturalists for an afternoon highlighting their favorite activities at the park. Fun activities will include games, critters, birdwatching, and more! Join us with Eyes of the Wild for a LIVE Animal Show, where you will meet some of nature’s most interesting creatures up close and personal! Dia de Don Juan: George Washington’s Spanish Ally & Friend “A journey to Philadelphia in the Winter procured me…the pleasure of this Gentleman’s acquaintance. His estimable qualities…establish him in my esteem.” – George Washington on Don Juan de Miralles, March 4, 1779 The fire of thirteen cannon announced the arrival of Spanish emissary Don Juan de Miralles and French minister Monsieur Conrad-Alexandre Gerard on May 1, 1779. They met with George and Martha Washington in headquarters at Wallace House, the first reception of foreign representatives by an American Commander-in-Chief. Gather in Old Dutch Parsonage for a discussion of the diplomacy, correspondence and friendship shared by Don Juan de Miralles and George Washington during the American Revolution in New Jersey. Special guest Teresa Valcarce introduces efforts led by Iberdrola to share Spanish and Hispanic contributions to the founding of the United States as part of the approaching 250th anniversaries of the American Revolution.
