Easter Bunny at The Commons

Located in Center Court, Easter Bunny at The Commons welcomes families for a magical visit with the famous Bunny in a colorful springtime flower field experience. Kicking off with the Bunny Hop Launch Party on March 16th at 11am with music, face painting, stilt walkers and more, the Easter photo experience will be open through March 30th. Bridgewater Commons’ guests will not only meet the magical Bunny but should anticipate a high-quality, studio photo experience as well. A percentage of sales will be donated to the Girl Scout Heart of New Jersey, a 501(c)(3) Organization. MAKE YOUR RESERVATION HERE! Spring Dance of the Woodcock at Negri Nepote Native Grassland

Led by Chris and Paula Williams, NJ Audubon Associate Naturalists.    The American Woodcock, a long-billed woodland bird, probes in soft wet soil of wetlands and eats its weight in worms each day. Woodcock return to Franklin Township in late winter or early spring to mate and nest. Males of the species begin calling and performing an aerial courtship-display-flight when the afternoon shadows are almost gone. We’ll hear more than we see. Kokedama Ball: Floating String Garden

Kokedama is the practice of creating a planter out of moss that can support and suspend the plant in air to appear as if it's floating. Don't have a place to hang a plant? No problem! Kokedama balls can also be placed in a decorative bowl or saucer. These planters create a very unique design element for your home! You will create your own Kokedama Ball with step-by-step guidance from our staff using either a succulent or tropical plant. There will be a variety of easy to care for plants to choose from! During the workshop, you will learn all you need to help your work of art continue to grow and flourish! The fee includes all items necessary to create a Kokedama ball and each participant will leave with instructions on how to care for the piece they have created. Can't attend this workshop? St. Patrick’s Day – Charlie & Brian Irish Trad

Let the Nitro Black Emerald Pour as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with am amazing duo, Charlie and Brian, playing Irish Trade 7-9! Brian lives in Highland Park, NJ, and has been playing uilleann (Irish) pipes since 1999. He first “caught the bug” and fell in love with the sound of the pipes as a child in Rutherford, having found an old album of the great piper Finbar Furey in the stacks of the public library. Brian first learned to play uilleann pipes from Boonton-based fiddler/piper Willie Kelly, and is now furthering his skills under the guidance of internationally renowned piper Ivan Goff. Brian is a regular Irish session leader and attendee and has performed with various musical groups including his current traditional Irish group, Daoine. He was also Musical Director for a piece performed by the Lustig Dance Theatre entitled “Invisible Fields” and played to audiences in Princeton, Philadelphia and other venues throughout New Jersey. Brian has been awarded Folk Arts Apprenticeship grants through the New Jersey State Council on the Arts in 2015, 2016, and 2020 and looks forward to bringing this unique instrument to audiences throughout New Jersey.
