Here Comes Santa Claus! The Jolly O’ St. Nick welcomes children of all ages for enchanted visits filled with holiday magic. Located in Center Court on the shopping center’s Lower Level, visits to Santa Celebration will begin Saturday, Nov. 12 through Saturday, Dec. 24. Set amongst 25 garland-topped light curtains (each adorned with thousands of white, glistening lights) and candy-cane inspired twists cascading from high above, Santa Celebration will feature an authentic Kris Kringle perched in his grand velvet chair on an elevated platform behind his adoring guests.  A bright and cheery, red photo frame sits in front of the famed wish-fulfiller proclaiming, “Holiday Joy.” Photo reservation and schedule page coming soon! Santa Photo Special Events Santa’s Luau! - Wed, Nov. 30, 4pm – close. Santa may work in the cold during the holidays, but he loves the tropics too! Don your best Hawaiian gear and join the fun! This year, join us for a Special Experience on the Courthouse Green in Somerville… Step inside a replica of George Washington’s Revolutionary War Tent! George Washington's Revolutionary War tent was the office and sleeping quarters that Washington used as the Continental Army’s command center. Somerset County welcomes the Museum of the American Revolution and their replica of Washington's tent to the Courthouse Green this Journey through the Past.  Tent set up begins at 9:30 a.m. on October 8, 2022, come early and help set it up!

“If you haven’t seen STOMP, GO! If you have seen it, take someone and share the pleasure!” —Boston Globe STOMP is explosive, provocative, sophisticated, and appeals to audiences of all ages. The international percussion sensation has garnered armfuls of awards and rave reviews and has appeared on numerous national television shows. The eight-member troupe uses everything but conventional percussion instruments—matchboxes, wooden poles, brooms, garbage cans, Zippo lighters, hubcaps—to fill the stage with magnificent rhythms. Year after year, audiences worldwide keep coming back for more of this pulse-pounding electrifying show. The return of the percussive hit also brings some new surprises, with some sections of the show now updated and restructured and the addition of two new full-scale routines, utilizing props like tractor tire inner tubes and paint cans. The festival is an indoor exhibit of decorated trees by various community groups and individuals alike. Enjoy holiday music and relax while viewing the beautiful trees! This early exposure, more than twenty years ago, helped me see wool, and other soft materials, as a medium for rigorous artistic exploration. The submissions for this exhibition presented many wonderful uses of felt. The first time through the entries I looked at everything and then took a long break—returning the next day. At that point, I selected the work that had stayed with me from the previous day. The next review was more difficult. I had to eliminate several really good works

Winter Market & Christmas Tree Lighting

12-7 PM:  Winter Market The Winter Market will be held at Bishop Janes United Methodist Church on 22 S. Finley Ave in Basking Ridge. With over 30 local vendors and artisans, the Winter Market is a great place to shop for holiday wares and pick up gifts for family and friends!  Children can participate in holiday crafts. And Christmas trees and wreaths will also be available for sale. ?5-5:30 PM: Christmas Tree Lighting The Christmas Tree Lighting will be held in Downtown Basking Ridge on the front steps of Coldwell Banker at 1 S. Finley Ave. Performances will include the Jamestown Duo, Trilogy Repertory, and Matthew White. And then we will have the Countdown to the Tree Lighting. Please come out and join us for this event. Jacobus Vanderveer is having their annual tree lighting celebration! Festivities include photos with Santa, live holiday music, docent led house tours, holiday pull, colonial re-enactors, holiday decor sale, and decorate your own gingerbread man. Norz Hill Farm offers Hayride experiences complete with holiday lights, animal and outdoor interactive displays, a spin by the animals, and perhaps a stop by Santa's cornfield office! Bring the blankets and bundle up for a cozy, heart-lifting time. Bring your camera and take your Holiday Pictures (no professional photographers, please) Warming Fire - toast up some marshmallows and enjoy some hot cocoa. The Home Farm Stand will be open so you can stock up on meats, pies, pasta, and so much more.
