“Raise a glass to freedom,” and join us in singing to the tune of revolution! Musicians Anne and Ridley Enslow present a rousing concert of Colonial drinking songs, many with choruses to join in on. Jolly toasts, huzzahs and entertaining tales tie the show together. Learn about the role of rum in the American Revolution, origins of our national anthem, the Battle of the Kegs and more, sprinkled with the witticisms of Ben Franklin. There’s even a toast or two to King George III (feel free to boo).
Please note: Since the only “liquor” allowed in the program will be in the music, we will offer non-alcoholic beverages to “toast” with, as well as light refreshments.
