Earth Day Bike Drive at Pop’s Bike Shop

This Earth Day, consider recycling your gently-used adult bicycles to our BikeConnect program. Since 2021, RideWise and Pops Bike Shop have been providing used, refurbished bicycles to adults in need of transportation to work. To date, we’ve provided 76 people with bikes.

This program is possible only through bike donations we receive from the community. One bicycle may seem small, but it opens doors to a whole new life for our clients. Our bicycle recipients don’t just receive a bike; they also receive a new future. Your donation will hugely impact and completely change the life of a member of our community.

We’ll be holding a two-day bike drive to accept your bike donations! Drop off your bikes at Pops Bike Shop on Main Street in Somerville on Saturday, April 20 between 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm or Monday, April 22 between 11 am – 2 pm. On Saturday, you can also drop off your bike, at Somerville’s Green Fair on Division Street between 11 am – 2 pm to expand your Earth Day celebration!
