Avast me Hearties!!!

Come aboard, and join me as we sail the seven seas – living free and taking what we want! I’m your Captain, and our ship here is called the – what’s that, Matey? You noticed I’m a woman? Well, shiver me timbers, you are correct! And if you don’t like it, perhaps you’d prefer to walk the plank!

Please join us for an afternoon with Alisa Dupuy of The Ladies of History as she portrays a female pirate from the 1700s. She will regale you with tales of life aboard a pirate ship, antics at ports of call, stolen treasure and pirate treachery. Learn about how many female pirates there actually were, and what life was like for them.

This event will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 2 pm at the historic Van Liew-Suydam House, 280 South Middlebush Road, Franklin Township, NJ. The fee for attending is $12 for members and $15 for non-members. If you are a member, you will be refunded the ticket price difference when you arrive.
