In Somerset County, this important day is honored through community gatherings that bring people together to recognize freedom and the ongoing pursuit of equality. Visitors and residents alike are invited to take part in two meaningful celebrations: a county-hosted Juneteenth event and a separate program presented by the Stoutsburg Sourland African American Museum. Held on different dates, each event offers a unique opportunity to engage with history, celebrate culture, and honor the significance of Juneteenth in our community.
