Halloween Events & Experiences

Brite Nites (Warren) A wonderful spectacle! See thousands of pumpkins light up that create all sorts of lighted displays including a pirate ship, underwater scene, a Harry Potter quidditch match, and SO much more! Check out our recent behind the scenes special with them as they walked us through all the steps of how this event comes to be. This event will take place Thursday, Friday, Saturday (rain dates set for Sunday) from October 7-October 30. Check out the video just above this paragraph for a behind the scenes look at what it takes the event to get up and running!

 

 


Spooktacular (Somerville) A Halloween experience the whole family can enjoy. There will be music, activities, and entertainment on Division Street, Main Street, and Borough Hall. Participating merchants will be handing out candy to trick or treaters. Visitors will also be treated to a viewing of Hocus Pocus on Division Street at 7pm.

 

 

 


Norz Hill Farm & Market (Hillsborough)

Get your heart beating with their Scare Fest. Visitors will have the option to choose from 3 attractions at Norz Hill Farm & Market: Creepy Hollow (haunted corn maze), Slay Ride (a haunted hayride), and Paranoia Walking Trail (a haunted trail) – or visit them all! So gather your friends and family who love a good scare and head over to Norz! Not so much into chills and thrills? Turn it down during the day, you can also enjoy their Fall Festival with pumpkin picking, hayrides, a trek to the farm, photo opportunities, and more!

 


Haunted Tours (Somerville) For one night only head to Downtown Somerville for a haunted tour! Take a stroll down Main Street Somerville where HHP will be bringing you chilling ghost stories and fascinating history delivered straight from those who know it best! Learn about the Prohibition era, whiskey bandits, haunted Hotel Somerset, dance legend Ruth St. Denis, the Hall – Mills trial of the century and much more! Add onto the experience with a food  tour of Somerville to explore this eclectic downtown while you eat and drink themed foods!

 

 


Scarecrow Stroll (Bernardsville)

The second annual Scarecrow Stroll lines Morristown Road/Mine Brook Road from Church Street to Claremont Road with a collection of creatively decorated scarecrows built by members of the community! All businesses, residents, students, and other members of the community are welcome to reserve a space and decorate a scarecrow.

Scarecrows will be on display starting October 16 for two weeks and will be available for public vote! Winners will receive a prize.


Field of Screams (Basking Ridge) *NEW*

Load up your car with your bravest friends and family and come drive through the Field of Screams at Ross Farm!

 

 

 


Get Creepy, Kooky, Mysterious, and Spooky with Your Library (Multi) Starting on October 1, Somerset County Library System will offer a combination of virtual and in-branch programs for children, families, tweens, and tweens. Families will have the opportunity to connect during virtual, interactive spooky and science shows; tweens and teens can explore their creative sides during monster-themed origami crafts at the Somerville branch; and children can participate in fun, Halloween-themed math activities at the Hillsborough branch.


Village Brewing Company’s Annual Halloween Costume Party – Witches vs Vampires (Somerville) *NEW*

Attention all Ghouls and Goblins, Let’s Get Spooky! Join us for a fun filled night of spell casting at our annual Halloween costume party . Located inside Village Brewing Company! Grab a group of friends and dance the night away with live Spooktacular tunes all night, compliments of the Paul Anthony Entertainment Group! Indulge in delicious drinks from our special Halloween inspired cocktail menu and munch on light snacks while dressed in your best Vampire or Witch costumes. The guest who is voted First Place Winner of the costume contest will receive a $150 gift card (as well as good ole bragging rights as “the best witch or vampire to ever haunt Village!) Take a break from dancing and stop by our Tarot table where you can receive a reading from one of our Tarot experts and see if there is anything spooky or haunted looming in your future!


Mischief Night Madness (Franklin)

Play miniature golf with the ghouls at Colonial Park Putting Course! Wear your Halloween costume and get a free Halloween goodie bag. Admission is $5 per person and includes a round of mini-golf, refreshments, a Moonlight Hayride (non-scary variety), and a goodie bag! Our friends from the Somerset County Library System of NJ will provide Spooky Tales by the Cauldron from 5:30pm-6:30pm too! Bring along your family Jack-O-Lantern and enter it in the Best Carved Pumpkin Contest. (Judging will take place at 6:30pm). For more information check out the event.


Monster Mash at The Bradford (Bridgewater) *NEW*

Make it a lively night at The Bradford on October 30 for the Monster Mash! The evening will feature a live DJ and costume contest. Best costume with a staycation at the AC Hotel Bridgewater! For table bookings email mtroisi@briad.com.

 

 

 

 

 

 


Halloween Brunch @ The Grain House (Basking Ridge) *NEW*

Need a break from the Saturday madness? Join us for our Halloween Brunch at the Grain House! With Spooky Brunch Specials that are sure to satisfy even the scariest of Ghouls ‘n Ghosts.
