Halloween Events & Experiences

Spooktacular (Somerville) Activities have been planned at three locations in the district; Main Street, Division St, and the Somerset County Courthouse Lawn. From 3:00pm to 6:00pm activities will include Trick-Or-Treating at participating businesses, music and games, pumpkin painting, and hayrides that will transport families around the district.


Norz Hill Farm & Market (Hillsborough)

Get your heart beating with their Scare Fest. Visitors will have the option to choose from 4 attractions at Norz Hill Farm & Market – or visit them all! So gather your friends and family who love a good scare and head over to Norz! Not so much into chills and thrills? Turn it down during the day, you can also enjoy their Fall Festival with pumpkin picking, hayrides, a trek to the farm, photo opportunities, and more!


The Drake Family Bash: A Murder Mystery Dinner Event at the Grain House (Bernards)

“Who Did It?” That will be the focus of this comical and entertaining Murder Mystery dinner event. You are cordially invited to attend the Drake Family Bash, where intrigue and suspense await. However, be warned, as tragedy looms over the festivities and one unfortunate guest will meet an untimely demise. Your task will be to unravel the web of deceit and uncover the identity of the culprit responsible for this heinous crime.


Halloween Hayrides (Bernards)

Take a scenic tour through Lord Stirling Park while learning about the properties haunted past! A tour guide will share history and spooky ghost stories along the way!


Halloween Hangar Hangout (Hillsborough)

Pumpkin painting, face painting, magician, crafts, and parade! With photo backdrop, hot chocolate, hot dogs, cookies and prizes!


Scarecrow Stroll (Bernardsville)

The second annual Scarecrow Stroll lines Morristown Road/Mine Brook Road from Church Street to Claremont Road with a collection of creatively decorated scarecrows built by members of the community! All businesses, residents, students, and other members of the community are welcome to reserve a space and decorate a scarecrow.

Scarecrows will be on display starting October 16 for two weeks and will be available for public vote! Winners will receive a prize.

Village Brewing Company’s Annual Halloween Costume Party – (Somerville)

Join us for a night of divine revelry and unearthly fun as we celebrate Halloween in godly fashion! Village Brewing Company invites you to our much-anticipated annual Halloween Costume Party, this year with a heavenly twist – the theme is “Gods and Goddesses.” Get ready to don your most divine attire and party like deities among mortals.


RVCC Planetarium Showings (Branchburg)

Check out the many shows RVCC has coming up including: Halloween: Celestrial Origins, Skies Over Hogwarts, Fright Night Laser Concert, and Family Fright Night.

Halloween on Hamilton (Franklin) – Head over for a fun afternoon featuring a Trunk or Treat, music, games, pumpkin decorating, crafts, costume parade, prizes & more at John’s Plaza, Hamilton Street.


Murder Mystery Dinner at Maggiano’s (Bridgewater)

Enjoy the atmosphere and fabulous cuisine of Maggiano’s Little Italy but remember…you could become the leading suspect!


Bernardsville Trunk or Treat

The community favorite returns! Trunk decorators: registration is open. (A great opportunity for businesses to connect with the community!)  Registration and community participation is free. Cars (decorated trunks) must be preregistered to participate.


Bridgewater Township Halloween Festival

Join us in costume and enjoy arts, crafts, music, and many other activities for kids of all ages. Presented by The Township of Bridgewater and hosted by Bridgewater Commons.


Throw and Glow at Stumpy’s Hatchet House (Green Brook)

Feeling spooky? Come in for our throw and glow and wear your costume for a chance to spin the prize wheel! We’ll turn on the blacklights and make our boards extra Halloweeny!
