Halloween in Somerset County

Somerset County is in the Halloween Spirit! Are you? Whether you’re not in the spirit yet or you already love everything Halloween, you’ll want to join us for this great collection of spooky events!

10/19 Dinner Ghosts–  Gordon Ward, local author and musician, will present a “Dinner Ghosts” program at the Grain House Restaurant from 7:00PM-9:00PM. Gordon is the author of several books including “Ghosts of Central New Jersey” now in its fifth printing, and the Grain House is one of the locations featured.

9/27-10/27 Scare FarmJoin Norz Hill Farm for three terrifying attractions; Creepy Hollow, The Slay Ride and Paranoia. (Open Friday, Saturdays & Sundays)

October 11-12, 18-19, 25-27Brite Nights – Join Wagner Farm Arboretum’s for their 8th annual event showcasing an elaborate display of intricately and creatively hand-carved and lighted pumpkins.

10/19 Creature FestHave some seasonal fun while walking a 1.5 mile well-lit loop discovering some of the “spooky” flora and fauna of New Jersey. This family-friendly event focuses on nocturnal and native wildlife.

10/19 & 10/26 – Spooky Skies – This Halloween, come to the RVCC Planetarium to witness spine chilling tricks and treats of Spooky Skies! Spooky Skies takes viewers back to medieval Ireland to explore the roots of the Halloween holiday, then goes into the heavens to draw parallels between some celestial objects and famous monsters.

10/19Paranormal Night at the Abraham Staats House – Join the Friends of Abraham Staats House and the New Jersey Paranormal Investigators (NJPI) for a night of revealing what NJPI has discovered from paranormal investigations of this historic home.

10/25 Mischief Night Madness Enjoy a game of miniature golf with the ghouls.  Wear your costume and get a free goodie bag. Free cider and donuts along with moonlight hay rides, spooky tales from the witch’s cauldron, and a Park Ranger guided night hike.

10/267th Annual Halloween Pub Crawl – Hosted by Tapastre & Project PUB, grab your costumes and get ready to hop from bar to bar throughout Somerville.

10/27 – Halloween Brunch – Join the Grain House for a Spooky Halloween Brunch featuring Trick or Treat candy and trinkets for children, plus face painting, balloon animals and special Halloween desserts! Costumes are welcome!

10/27 Halloween Party at BSC – Put on your craziest, funniest, scariest costume and celebrate Halloween at BSC! Families will enjoy our “Trick or Treatville” complete with fun games, activities and much more!

10/31Somerville Spooktacular – Enjoy music, activities, and entertainment on Division Street, Main Street, and a BIG PIRATE SHIP at Borough Hall! Participating merchants will be handing out candy to trick-or-treaters!
