The house, constructed in the vernacular Federal and Greek Revival styles, is believed to have been built by Benjamin Hatwick circa 1835. It is one of the earliest surviving buildings in Rocky Hill and contains many original exterior and interior features. It is now operated by the Rocky Hill Community Group.
