NJ Audubon: Morning Walk at Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary Enjoy a quiet morning at the Sanctuary walking the trails with an NJ Audubon staff or Associate Naturalist. Enjoy a quiet morning here at the Sanctuary walking the trails with an NJ Audubon staff or Associate Naturalist. These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. The walks are cancelled if there is snow, rain, or weather warnings. Registration required by 4:00 PM the day before the walk. Pre-registration Required. COST: Free for members, $5 nonmembers. Festival of Trees 46th Anniversary December is the time to visit the Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center (EEC) to welcome winter and get into the holiday spirit! The festival is an indoor exhibit of decorated trees by various community groups and individuals alike. Enjoy holiday music and relax while viewing the beautiful trees! Pop Up Holiday Art Sale Give the gift of art this holiday season! The Center for Contemporary Art (“The Center”) in Bedminster will be holding a Pop Up Holiday Art Sale on Friday, December 13 from 10 am – 2 pm, Saturday, December 14 from 10 am – 4 pm, and Sunday, December 15 from 10am – 2pm. Walk an Alpaca - Saturday Mornings PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!! NON REFUNDABLE!!!!! NON CHANGEABLE!!!! Alpaca Halter Training (Walking): Walk one of our beautiful, friendly Alpacas around our property. Enjoy their wonderful personalities and cuteness overload. You will be instructed on how to handle your alpaca and we will give you a little bit of information on our Alpacas. 1 reservation is 1 Alpaca and 1 Person. Children under the age of 9 cannot walk by themselves. Your walk will last around 15 minutes. Feel free to take lots of pictures with your alpaca and if you need assistance doing so, please as one of our Volunteers for help. This is a rain/snow or shine unless torrential rain then we will postpone. PLEASE BE ONTIME! IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 5 MINUTES LATE FOR YOUR SCHEDULED WALK, YOUR WALK WILL BE CANCELLED!!!!! Our helpers are all volunteers, so tipping is appreciated.

Winter Festival A Toys For Tots Event The Stable at Lord Stirling Park is hosting its first Winter Festival, a family-friendly event that promises to bring the magic of the holidays to life. It is a perfect way to come together and celebrate the season in a beautiful setting that is sure to create lasting memories. In the spirit of giving, guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy for donation to Toys for Tots, helping to ensure children in need have a brighter holiday season. Receive a Pony Ride or Hayride with a donation! All other activities are free. *Pony rides are for children ages 10 and under weighing less than 95lbs. *Activities may be weather dependent. The Winter Festival will take place on December 14, from 11am to 2pm. The event is open to the public and no registration is required. This enchanting winter wonderland will offer visitors a chance to experience a variety of fun-filled activities, including: Pony Rides: Children of all ages 10 and under weighing less that 95lbs. can enjoy a delightful pony ride. *(Available with Toy Donation) Hot Cocoa: Warm up with a cup of hot cocoa while enjoying the stable grounds. Downtown Somerville Holiday Spirits Pub Crawl 2024 We are excited to announce we are back with our 4th Annual Holiday Spirits Pub Crawl through Downtown Somerville New Jersey! Similar to the Halloween crawl, we expect everyone to come dressed up as their favorite holiday characters, or sporting their worst ugly sweater! Tickets are $10 and we are happy to announce all proceeds from ticket sales and a portion of our sales at Project PUB for the evening will go to Toys for Tots & Somerset County Animal Shelter to help spread a little cheer. Tickets get you wristbands, wristbands get you discounts & deals. You will also receive a pack of hand warmers and a little thank you for your donation. We will be meeting on the corner of Division st and Main st at 8:30 for wristbands and ID checks and then we head out to the first of several stops as we spread holiday cheer with spirits and beer! There will be drink specials and good times had by all. Stops will include Salted Lime, Verve, Project PUB & Tapastre, Village Brewing, Alfonso's, Mannion's & Clubhouse!
