Neshanic Station Flea Market The Flea Market will be held on Saturdays from April through October from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm. Rain Date: Each scheduled date is weather-dependent, so check this web page or our Google listing for any weather-related cancellations. Location: The Neshanic Station Flea Market is located at 111 Elm Street at the foot of the historic Neshanic Station Bridge in Branchburg. Vendors: Just $15 to rent a spot for the day. This is an outdoor flea market, so bring your own tables or racks to display your goods. All types of merchandise – antiques, collectibles, furniture, jewelry, housewares, tools, electronics, games, videos, books, toys, arts and crafts, memorabilia, clothing, etc. – are welcome. We also welcome sellers of honey, fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs, and other food items. Space is assigned to vendors on a first-come, first-serve basis starting at 7:00 am the day of the Flea Market. Shoppers: Attendance is FREE and there's lots of free parking. The Flea Market is open to shoppers from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm. We encourage shoppers to bring a cash or food donation for the Somerset County Food Pantry. These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. Walk through a meandering path of some of the most beautiful flowers of the season, clipping as you go to make bouquets for your home or to give as gifts. The photos in this field are going to be absolutely gorgeous, so get your cameras ready. Walk an Alpaca - Saturday Mornings PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!! NON REFUNDABLE!!!!! NON CHANGEABLE!!!! Alpaca Halter Training (Walking): Walk one of our beautiful, friendly Alpacas around our property. Enjoy their wonderful personalities and cuteness overload. You will be instructed on how to handle your alpaca and we will give you a little bit of information on our Alpacas. 1 reservation is 1 Alpaca and 1 Person. Children under the age of 9 cannot walk by themselves. Your walk will last around 15 minutes. Feel free to take lots of pictures with your alpaca and if you need assistance doing so, please as one of our Volunteers for help. This is a rain/snow or shine unless torrential rain then we will postpone. PLEASE BE ONTIME! IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 5 MINUTES LATE FOR YOUR SCHEDULED WALK, YOUR WALK WILL BE CANCELLED!!!!! Introduction to Reductive Screenprinting with Kath Yarkosky Saturday, August 24th, 11am-3pm Members: $100, Non-Members: $115 Material Fee: $35 In this lesson, students will be taught the basics of reductive screen printing. This includes learning about the process, materials required, and techniques involved. This method is ideal for producing unique screen prints from the comfort of your own home, as it doesn't require an emulsion or an exposure unit. At the end of the lesson, each student will have a small edition of a three-layer screen print based on their design. Students provide: Students are asked to bring a prepared drawing and/or plan to the lesson, along with a sketchbook for ideas/notes. About the Instructor: Kath is the Production Printer and Studio Tech at Frontline Arts, along with being a Per Diem Instructor. She is responsible for various tasks including general maintenance, inventory management, and contract printing. Kath's educational background includes an Associate of Arts from Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wyoming with a focus on Printmaking and Drawing, and a Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the University of Ohio in Athens. Riverside Inn presents Suburban Disturbance Band The band started in 2005 as a result of a new Year's resolution. Frustrated playing in his basement, Bob called an old pal (Mark) to get the band on the road. Mark stepped in on bass and vocals to join Pat ( guitar), Bob (guitar), and Vin on vocals. The band had no regular drummer when Bruce was contacted to fill that role. After about a year of playing, Tony was recruited to play keys and sing. At about the same time, Vin left for personal reasons. The current lineup is: Mark,Pat,Bob,Tony & Bruce. ABOUT THE BAND The whole purpose of playing in a rock band is to have fun and pass it along. We are definitely a small time band playing at small clubs. But we are really good at what we do....really, really good. Want to be entertained? Want to have a good time? Want to hang with a group of regular guys? Come see Suburban Disturbance. Want to hang with rock stars...that's not us!
