IN-PERSON Nature Infused Yoga with NJ Audubon

IN-PERSON Nature Infused Yoga with NJ Audubon Led by Kristin Mylecraine, Yoga Teacher. Yoga is a great way to relax, connect with yourself, and increase flexibility and strength. Explore the connections between yoga and nature in this 75-minute class. No experience necessary; all levels welcome. For ages 15 years and older. Preregistration is required. There will be no classes 12/23, 12/30, 1/13, and 2/17. We are offering an in-person class at the sanctuary and a virtual class online simultaneously. The in-person class has a limit of 10 people. Maple Sugaring at The EEC Maple sugaring is a tradition in the Northeast that began centuries ago with the Native Americans and Colonists. People of all ages are invited to see this tradition brought to life at the Environmental Education Center (EEC). You will see how trees are tapped, view sap-collecting methods past and present, and see the boiling process that produces delicious New Jersey maple syrup. This 60-minute, outdoor program is conducted at our Sugar Shack, a ½-mile hike from the EEC. Please arrive at the EEC 30-40 minutes before the program start time to purchase tickets and hike to the Sugar Shack to meet your Naturalist.  Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions. Boots are recommended as the trails can be wet, muddy, and/or covered by snow. Tickets cost $6 per student/senior and $7 per adult.

Lunar New Year at The Commons Bridgewater Commons in partnership with The Center for Cultural & Creative Exchange present Lunar New Year at The Commons, featuring traditional Asian performances and a dragon dance accompanied by the music of beating of drums, cymbals, and gong instruments synchronized to dragon dance movements believed to bring good luck and fortune. Celebrating the Year of the Dragon, the traditional Chinese giving of red envelopes filled with treats and special offers will delight lucky attendees. Families are also welcomed to partake in a Chinese arts and crafts workshop at the Event Space, located on the Main Level next to Vans. The Lunar New Year is the grandest ancient traditional festival in Asia signaling the beginning of spring and the arrival of the new year. Chris DeVito Quintet: Second Annual Valentine's Day Concert at Watchung Arts Center Love is in the air! With Chris DeVito, piano, Audra Mariel, vocals, Greg Grispart, woodwinds, John Lenis on bass and Gavin Davies on drums. The Watchung Arts Center will be hosting its second annual “Valentine Day Jazz Concert” featuring the Chris DeVito Quintet on Saturday, February 10 at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at  Eventbrite. This event will feature Audra Mariel (vocals), Greg Grispart (woodwinds), John Lenis (acoustic bass), Gavin Davies (drums) and Chris DeVito (piano). This quintet filled both the Watchung Arts Center in 2023 and Douglas Hall (at the annual Malawi Visions Fundraiser hosted by Liberty Corner Church) in 2023.
