The Revolutionary War Comes to Middlebrook

Planetarium/RVCC 118 Lamington Road Park, Branchburg

The Revolutionary War Comes to Middlebrook Fourth in a series of Symposiums on Middlebrook Cantonment of 1778-79 by The Heritage Trail Association and a Consortium of historic groups Often underrated and ignored by historians, the winter of 1778-79 in Middlebrook, New Jersey is the focus of this series of Symposiums. Featuring emerging scholarship, renown historic authors and speakers will present the importance of the Middlebrook Cantonment to the overall scope and ultimate success of the war. As the Nation approaches the 250th anniversary of the beginning of the American Revolutionary War, remembrances in the form of events are being planned by historic groups throughout the original 13 colonies. New Jersey, also known as "The Cockpit of the Revolution" not only is central to the war effort, but central in locations of major battles and almost more importantly to the long-range planning for the Continental Army's path to ultimate success. This Symposium will highlight authors on the subject. Authors who have done a deep dive into the historic records. The result will be programs based in fact and research that any student of the making of our country will place high on their list of events to attend. Space is limited.
