Two local nonprofit organizations, Music in the Somerset Hills (MISH) and the Center for Musical Excellence (CME), will join forces this Saturday, Sept. 24, from 2 p.m. to sunset to present their third annual “Mozart on the Meadow” outdoor music festival, hosted at one of the Somerset Hills’ most beautiful private estates.

The opening act of this family music festival features Alison James, a singer-songwriter-producer duo based in New York City that specializes in a wide range of musical styles.

The mainstage program centers on classical music for the whole family to enjoy. Pianist and CME Artistic Director Min Kwon headlines alongside CME Artists Eric Zuber, Sonya Headlam, and Enriqueta Somarriba performing piano and vocal selections by W. A. Mozart, Camille Saint-Saint-Saëns, and Francis Poulenc, including “Carnival of the Animals,” and “The Story of Babar, the Little Elephant,” narrated by Catherine Luborsky, French teacher at the Willow School in Peapack, NJ.

The closing act features a solo performance by Bill Campbell, a talented singer, songwriter, and guitarist based in Bernardsville, NJ, whose style has been compared to the likes of James Taylor, Neil Young, and John Prine.

In addition to world-class musical performances, there will be family activities such as hay and pony rides, a raffle and silent auction, as well as a variety of food and drink vendors.

General admission is $40 in advance and $60 at the door. Children and students of all ages are free.

VIP tickets are also available at $150, which includes a pre-concert cocktail party with the musicians and more.
