Description: Bridgewater Commons in partnership with The Center for Cultural & Creative Exchange present Lunar New Year at the Commons, featuring traditional Asian performances and a dragon dance accompanied by the music of beating of drums, cymbals, and gong instruments synchronized to dragon dance movements believed to bring good luck and fortune. Celebrating the Year of Rabbit, the traditional Chinese giving of red envelopes filled with treats and good fortune will delight lucky attendees. Families are also welcomed to partake in a Chinese arts and crafts workshop at the Community Hub on the Main Level, across from the LEGO Store. The Lunar New Year is the grandest ancient traditional festival in Asia signaling the beginning of spring and the arrival of the new year.
