Continental Congress & Common Cause: New Jersey’s Brunswick Resolves of 1774

The Brunswick Convention met in New Brunswick 250 years ago for three days in July 1774, appointing delegates from New Jersey to the First Continental Congress and joining New Jersey by committees of correspondence to the “common cause” of the Thirteen Colonies of British North America.

Observe this anniversary with a reading and historical discussion of the Brunswick Resolves, adopted at the Brunswick Convention’s conclusion, for an encounter with New Jersey on the edge of the American Revolution in the summer of 1774.

Admission is free. No registration is required.
