Colonial Cocktail Party

The annual kick-off for the Battle of Bound Brook weekend begins at the Van Horne House! Period Music, Specialty Drinks, Adults over 21.

The Van Horne House was a main objective of the Battle of Bound Brook in 1777. Lord Cornwallis intended to capture General Benjamin Lincoln who was Headquartered at the Van Horne House, thereby forcing the end of the war while Washington was in Philadelphia.

Know as ‘Convivial Hill’ or ‘Phil’s Hill’, The Historic Philip Van Horne House will once again be Colonial “party central” for the Heritage Trail Association’s annual fundraiser.

As a special treat this year, County Commissioner, Melonie Marano will speak to the gathering about the plans for the 250th anniversary of the Revolutionary War around the county. Business or Colonial attire, specialty cocktails, catered by Mangia Buono in Raritan, period 18th century music by The Enslows, and another surprise unveiling!

How can we add to this event’s vibe? With our Colonial Tavern Night on Saturday night- Tickets are on sale.
