A free monthly gathering held on the first Saturday of each month from 6-7 PM at Discover Chocolate (24 Division Street, Somerville, NJ). Hosted in the cozy, inviting atmosphere of the shop, this book club explores stories that have faced censorship or push-back.

Our goal is to spark thoughtful discussions about freedom of expression, diverse perspectives, and the power of storytelling! Each month, we’ll dive into a different banned or challenged book, sharing our thoughts (and maybe a little chocolate!). Whether you’re a passionate reader or just curious about why certain books stir controversy, all are welcome to join the conversation.
