Rockingham will be presenting its annual Candlelit Holiday Tours coming up! Each year has a theme and this year’s is “beasts,” or pets. Visitors will hear about both working and wild animals that were part of George Washington and his family’s life. On this tour, you’ll learn some of the silly names given to his dogs (Madame Moose is one of those names!), what animals were important to Mount Vernon’s (Washington’s farm) economy, and what various creatures serves as pets in the Washington household.

This tour is presented by an inspiring young group in the Live Historians Club at the Montgomery Township High School, as well as the Rockingham Association, Stony Brook Garden Club, and the NJ Division of Parks & Forestry.

Space is limited so advance reservations are required. To make your reservation, call 609.693.7136.
