Get outdoors on a February afternoon with a winter walk along historic Somerville’s Peters Brook Greenway and Main Street with brief stops for historical storytelling. We place Washington’s Headquarters Flags at two stone markers recalling George Washington’s passage through the area in early January 1777 and return for a brief festive open house at Old Dutch Parsonage as the winter sun sets. Dress for the weather, wear sturdy footwear and bring water. This "Candlemas" Winter Walk was originally scheduled for New Year's Day as one of over 40 "First Day Hikes" offered across New Jersey State Parks, Forests & Historic Sites as part of a national initiative of America's State Parks.

Event Series Psych by Lisa Rowe

Psych by Lisa Rowe

NJ

"Psych” is set in the office of psychiatrist Dr. Robert Smith where, one by one, the cast of bizarre characters assemble. Edward Baxter was a successful psychiatrist, beloved by his many patients—until he was framed for murder. Now on the run with an assumed identity and a suspicious new wife, his luck is running out. Edward seeks help from Dr. Robert Smith, a fellow psychiatrist and a man with inner demons of his own. When Edward’s meeting with Dr. Smith goes wildly awry and leaves Edward clinging precariously to his last shred of sanity, Dr. Smith’s patient Lydia (a goodhearted psychic woman with clues to Edward’s past) arrives for her appointment to find Edward in big trouble. Despite the chaos created by unexpected visitors and quirks in Lydia’s psychic powers, Lydia does her best to gain Edward’s trust and help him find justice as his world rapidly approaches critical mass. Psych’s humor is broad in scope including slapstick, wordplay and a bit of dark humor.
