Young artists complete hands-on projects that encourage self-expression and creative problem solving while having fun and learning to work in a variety of media, including acrylic paint, markers, watercolor, tempera, colored pencil, collage, and oil pastels. The class explores the basic principles of visual art, art historical periods and styles, and the work of well-known artists. Students will also explore the art on view in the galleries. Children are invited to repeat “Mixed Media” as projects vary each semester.

All students must comply with the Policies and Procedures found on The Center’s website. There will be no refunds for students removed from class for failure to observe The Center’s Policies and Procedures.
