November 24
Jacobus Vanderveer House Tree Lighting
Enjoy caroling with the Harmonium Choral Society and refreshments at this historic site. The event kicks of the House and Museum’s Annual Colonial Christmas celebration.
November 25
Entertainment on the Division Street Stage from the Somerville School of Rock and Triangle Dance School, Santa’s Arrival and tree lighting on Division Street, horse-drawn carriage rides along Main Street, photos with Santa in front of United Reformed Church, entertainment by the Raritan Ringers at the United Reformed Church, and treats and surprises from local community groups.
December 1
Green Brook Holiday Tree Lighting, Green Brook Town Hall
Hear choral groups from town schools and instrumentals from the middle school perform, enjoy a reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, and see a dance number performed by Broadway Dance. Jingle bells will be distributed and hot chocolate will be available.
Hillsborough Tree Lighting & Festivities, Peter J. Biondi Municipal Building
Train rides, hot chocolate and cookies, petting zoo, meet Anna, Elsa and Olaf, and Santa visits.
Franklin Township Tree Lighting & Festivities, Franklin Township Municipal Building
Kick off the season with festive music, good tidings and cocoa and cookies.
December 3
Holiday Tree Lighting, Abraham Staats House
Bring an ornamnent to decorate the tree, visit/take photos with Santa and friends, enjoy donuts and hot cocoa, and listen to the music of the Robert Morris School Band and area choirs.
December 4
Montgomery Township Holiday Singalong and Treelighting, Otto Kaufman Community Center
A festive celebration of the December holidays featuring a sing-along, tree lighting & refreshments. (Remember a camera & flashlight!
Warren Holiday Walk, Tree Lighting, Pheasant Run Plaza
Enjoy photos with Santa, Somerset Patriots mascot Sparkee, live music, dance performances, arts and crafts, face painting, cookies and hot cocoa.
December 8
Millstone Holiday Lighting, Millstone Township Fire House
Collecting toys for “Toys for Tots” program, baked good and refreshments, holiday crafts, performance by the Middle School chorus, Santa Claus photos.
December 10
Peapack and Gladstone Tree Lighting and Santa Visit, Liberty Park
Procession to Liberty Park led by Santa via fire truck. Santa visits and refreshments.
Bernards Winter Market & Tree Lighting , Downtown Basking Ridge
Discover unusual treasures at more than 20 vendor tables, purchase poinsettias and wreaths, hear Trilogy performers read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, See Gotta Dance performers, Listen to In Tune Choir and William Annin Middle School Select Choir, enjoy making crafts at the Children’s Shoppe, and visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
