It’s that time of year for one of our favorite food groups to shine! This month we are all about maple sugar. In New Jersey, the conditions for tapping maple trees when they have enough sap and high sugar content is a small window. And that window is here!
As a leader in environmental stewardship, Duke Farms also seeks to inspire visitors’ approaches to conversation in order to build a more sustainable future. Executive Director Michael Catania will lead participants in activities and nature hikes focused on wildlife, tree identification, best forestry practices, and climate change as it relates to sugar maple and native forests.
We hope you have the opportunity to try some local New Jersey syrup at a gorgeous location!
But please…don’t take Jeremy’s advice to use maple syrup as a hair product.
