Meet Phillis Wheatley at SSAAM Dive into Black History Month with SSAAM! Join for an unforgettable performance by Dr. Daisy Century, showcasing the inspiring journey of Phillis Wheatley, the 18th-century poet who overcame slavery to become the first African American woman to publish poetry. The event takes place on Feb 9 at 7 pm and Feb 10 at 11 am, with museum open hours on Feb 10 from 1 pm to 3 pm.
