Shedfest is an outdoor music festival and fundraiser for Raritan Headwaters held at Fairview Farm Wildlife Preserve in Bedminster, NJ. The Prince Rodgers Foundation with the Somerset Patriots, Somerset County Historical Society and Wallace House & Old Dutch Parsonage State Historic Sites shares the story of the military service of the Prince Rodgers family and African Americans of New Jersey in the Armed Forces of the United States in celebration of the 250th Birthday of the U.S. Army in June 2025. The Prince Rodgers Foundation is steward of the Prince Rodgers Cemetery, an African American family cemetery on Foothill Road in Bridgewater. In 1899, Mrs. Roebling traveled from Trenton to Somerville for a ceremony “under the ancient oak trees on the great lawn that surrounds the historical house” to celebrate the anniversary of the Battle of Bunker Hill. 125 years later Emily Roebling returns to the Wallace House for the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Bunker Hill. Mrs. Roebling invites children of all ages and families to join a special edition of “Bridge Builder in Petticoats” including storytelling and a bridge building activity and craft. For the second year, artists can fill our park grounds across from Uncle Julio’s with their wildest creations and experience the professional chalk drawings of Anthony Cappetto, an internationally recognized 3D/4D street artist who works in chalk pastel and/or paint creating illusionary murals on pavement, walls or both as one unified artwork since 2001. Additionally, known for blending traditional drawn/painted artwork with still or animated augmented reality (4D) in compositions. Cappetto’s work in 3D and 4D has been created for corporate, festival, government, and international clients globally.
