Norz Hill Farm Farmers Market In addition to its regular farm market hours, Norz Hill Farm is adding a weekly farmers market to its schedule of community-friendly events this summer. Taking place on Tuesday afternoons from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at 120 South Branch Road in Hillsborough, the market will feature wholesome foods and items from area vendors. “The purpose of the market is to offer fresh food and products to Somerset County and neighboring regions,” said Megan Norz, the farm market manager. The market will take place rain or shine, except in the event of severe weather. Festival of Trees 46th Anniversary December is the time to visit the Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center (EEC) to welcome winter and get into the holiday spirit! The festival is an indoor exhibit of decorated trees by various community groups and individuals alike. Enjoy holiday music and relax while viewing the beautiful trees! Please call 908-722-1200 (ext. 5328) or email mjuhasz@scparks.org to participate as an exhibitor and decorate a tree, to make group reservations or for more information. Suggested donation: $5 per person. Nature Days Enrichment Programs At Nature Days, we let kids be kids as they explore, create, and discover! Our educators guide children through structured and unstructured learning and play time outdoors, helping children develop the creativity and critical thinking needed to build long-lasting connections with nature. Age appropriate activities let children develop cognitive, social, and emotional skills, encourage cooperative play, practice positive social behavior and communication skills. Our programs are made up of small groups of children with a low student to teacher ratio, allowing each child to get the attention they need. Fairview Farm Wildlife Preserve has plenty of space to explore with quiet forests, trickling streams, colorful meadows, big skies, fresh air, and even some magical places where fairies are thought to live!
