Let your imagination run wild as you sculpt small hand-built animals out of clay under the guidance of local artist Julie Goetz. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, this workshop is perfect for anyone who loves animals and art, and would like a few hours of fun creativity! All supplies will be provided! Our events are safe and welcoming for all! Quick Books & Zines: Intensive Bookmaking Workshop
Saturday, March 22nd, 10am-4pm Dip your toes into the world of bookmaking in this non-exhaustive workshop exploring binding basics, cut-and-fold books and zines, and adhesive and stitched structures. Artists will create a suite of nearly a dozen book forms, learning the skills needed to bring bookmaking into their artmaking practice. Ample handouts, directions and resources will be provided for you to continue this artform long after the workshop! This intensive workshop is beginner-friendly, but all skill levels are encouraged! Students provide: A handful of decorative paper sheets, 18x24”; a more detailed description of paper requirements will be sent via email prior to the workshop Any bookmaking tools you have: bone folder, awl, 12-18” ruler, cutting mat, Exacto knife. The instructor will also provide these items, you do not need to purchase them if you do not already own them. Roll of Paper Towels, Pencil and notebook/sketchbook About the Instructor: Dave DiMarchi is a queer, multi-disciplinary artist working in printmaking, papermaking and sculptural book forms. Nurturing ideas into singular and editioned works, he engages in a relentless material practice. Walk an Alpaca – Saturday Mornings
Walk an Alpaca - Saturday Mornings PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!! NON REFUNDABLE!!!!! NON CHANGEABLE!!!! Alpaca Halter Training (Walking): Walk one of our beautiful, friendly Alpacas around our property. Enjoy their wonderful personalities and cuteness overload. You will be instructed on how to handle your alpaca and we will give you a little bit of information on our Alpacas. 1 reservation is 1 Alpaca and 1 Person. Children under the age of 9 cannot walk by themselves. Your walk will last around 15 minutes. Feel free to take lots of pictures with your alpaca and if you need assistance doing so, please as one of our Volunteers for help. This is a rain/snow or shine unless torrential rain then we will postpone. PLEASE BE ONTIME! IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 5 MINUTES LATE FOR YOUR SCHEDULED WALK, YOUR WALK WILL BE CANCELLED!!!!!
