SUMMARY:2025 International Juried Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Juror\, Erin Woodbrey\, selected the work of twenty-eight artists\, showcasing works of art across many mediums for the 2025 International Juried Exhibition. \n“The selected works reflect a desire to imagine our relationships to the spaces we inhabit anew—to create and embody new possibilities. In the work\, I see a shared impulse to reimagine our material lives and explore new models for caregiving\, resilience\, and celebration. The artworks seem to ask how we might reshape our environments—not just physically but also socially and emotionally.” — Erin Woodbrey

SUMMARY:Cut to the Chase: Deep Dive into Reduction Linocut
DESCRIPTION:Cut to the Chase: Deep Dive into Reduction Linocut\nMondays\, March 3rd\, 10th\, 17th\, 24th. 6:00 – 8:30 PM \nDiscover the image-making\, layering\, and color possibilities of reduction linocut printmaking\, while learning the tips and tricks of this challenging medium. Working with simple tools and techniques\, as well as exploring the possibilities of color\, artists will create an edition of three (or more)-color prints over four sessions. Some experience is suggested; beginners are welcome. \nStudents provide: \nOne Speedball (or similar) Linoleum Cutting Handle + Gouges (1\, 2\, 3\, 5 & 6)\nResource images: The imagery you provide can be as simple as clip art-style\, to something more complex like a photograph\, writing\, a constructed image/collage\, or you can work abstractly. Whatever direction you choose\, you’ll be working with this same image throughout our time together. You should provide the imagery printed out onto standard copy/printer paper in either color or grayscale/black and white\, at 5×7”. Of course\, you are also welcome to work directly on the block after seeing the demonstration and sample images. You may find yourself inspired to work more off the cuff once at the workshop. The more variety of resource images you provide\, the better\, as some images may not work for this process.\nRoll of Paper Towels\nApron\nPencil + Eraser and something in which to take notes\nExtra Fine Point Sharpie\nOne Pad 9×12” Newsprint for transporting prints to and from the studio \nAbout the Instructor: \nDave DiMarchi is a queer\, multi-disciplinary artist working in printmaking\, papermaking and sculptural book forms. Nurturing ideas into singular and editioned works\, he engages in a relentless material practice. As a multi-disciplinary artist\, he has exhibited works on paper\, installations and books in the US and internationally. In autumn of 2022\, he was announced as the Arts Council of Princeton’s Anne Reeves Artist-in-Residence\, through which he developed a practice of collage-based multimedia and print works. He also serves as the Arts Council’s Printmaking Studios Manager and Master Printer\, and is Instructor of Printmaking at Mercer College. For nearly 15 years\, he has created his own work\, curated exhibitions\, provided print exchange opportunities\, and published fine art prints as 9INHANDPRESS\, a fine art printmaking and education studio located in New Hope\, Pennsylvania. \nRegistration deadline: Sunday\, February 23rd\, at Midnight \nLocation: 440 River Road\, Branchburg\, NJ 08876. We are across from the North Branch train station.
