SUMMARY:Monty Python's Spamalot
DESCRIPTION:Monty Python’s Spamalot\nLovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail\, MONTY PYTHON’S SPAMALOT retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table\, and features a bevy of beautiful show girls\, not to mention cows\, killer rabbits\, and French people. Did we mention the bevy of beautiful showgirls? The 2005 Broadway production won three Tony® Awards\, including Best Musical\, and was followed by two successful West End runs. The outrageous\, uproarious\, and gloriously entertaining story of King Arthur and the Lady of the Lake will delight audiences as they search for the Holy Grail and “always look on the bright side of life.”

SUMMARY:Hand-Drawn Photo Lithography with Victoria Beck
DESCRIPTION:Hand-Drawn Photo Lithography with Victoria Beck\nSaturday\, June 8th\, 10am-2pm \nMembers: $130\, Non-Members: $145\, Materials: $37 \nPhoto-lithography or ‘photo litho’ uses aluminum plates coated with a UV-sensitive emulsion to reproduce an image. The plates are simple to process and store and an easy way to print an edition of lithographs as compared to ball ground plates or stones. This technique is excellent for capturing detail in drawings with subtle shading and also painterly watercolor/wash effects without the need for etching. During this course\, participants will learn the various materials used for drawing onto a transparency\, exposing the drawing onto a plate\, plate development\, and how to print their plate. \nAbout the Instructor: \nVictoria Beck is a Lehigh Valley-based artist whose lifelong interest in drawing led her to pursue a career in the arts. She received her BFA from Kutztown University\, where she discovered a love of printmaking and had the opportunity to study lithography under Master Printer Tim Sheesley. She has been awarded several research grants to explore printing with both traditional and experimental techniques. Since graduating in 2016 she has spearheaded collaborative print projects while printing professionally for artists such as Faith Ringgold and Ify Chiejina through Raven Editions\, MK Kabrito\, and Evan Summer. \nRegistration deadline is Sunday\, June 2nd at Midnight. \nAbout Frontline Arts: \nFrontline Arts is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Central NJ with a mission to connect communities through socially engaging arts practices rooted in papermaking and printmaking. The organization supports in-house and mobile educational programs and provides a communal space with shared equipment for printmakers and papermakers across the State of New Jersey and larger regions. The organization also offers community-building events\, a variety of artist studio services\, and groundbreaking exhibitions.

SUMMARY:50th Anniversary of the Ted Blum 4-H Center of Somerset County
DESCRIPTION:50th Anniversary of the Ted Blum 4-H Center of Somerset County\nThe Somerset County 4-H Association is inviting 4-H members and volunteers past and present to attend a 50th anniversary celebration of the Ted Blum 4-H Center of Somerset County on Sunday\, June 9\, noon to 4 p.m. The event will honor those who helped to make the 4-H Center at 310 Milltown Road in Bridgewater a reality. A “Walk Down Memory Lane” program will be presented at 1 p.m. followed by a commemorative group photo of all attendees. \nAt the time it opened in 1974\, Somerset County’s 4-H Center was touted as the largest building of its kind in the nation. The Center houses meeting and activity areas for 4-H\, along with offices for 4-H staff and the other county program areas of Rutgers Cooperative Extension. \nGroundbreaking took place in late 1972 and the building was completed in 1974. In 2004\, the Center was renamed the Ted Blum 4-H Center of Somerset County to honor the longtime 4-H agent and National 4-H Hall of Fame inductee who was instrumental in the establishment of the current building and fairgrounds. \nThe event will serve as a homecoming for 4-H alumni and a chance for current 4-H members and the public to learn about the 100-year history of the 4-H Youth Development Program in Somerset County. Light refreshments and food trucks will be on site. \nIf you or a member of your family was involved in the planning\, fundraising\, construction or original dedication of the 4-H Center\, please contact the Somerset County 4-H Association at 4HBuildingandGrounds@gmail.com or (908) 526-6644.

The play\, co-authored by Eric H. Weinberger and Elaine Bromka\, who also stars\, offers a unique window into the lives of Lady Bird Johnson\, Pat Nixon\, and Betty Ford. It’s a heartfelt portrayal set against the backdrop of the White House\, revealing the complexities and emotions tied to their roles.\nThe Sieminski Theater in Basking Ridge will host this engaging performance on June 9th at 2:30 pm\, promising an afternoon of reflection and connection with these influential women\, whose stories deserve to be heard.\nThe show has been praised for its nuanced acting and the depth it brings to the stories of these women\, often overshadowed by their presidential husbands. Her extensive experience\, including an Emmy Award and roles on PBS’s “The Presidents\,” enriches her performance. The play\, co-created with Eric H.
