Nature Days Enrichment Programs At Nature Days, we let kids be kids as they explore, create, and discover! Our educators guide children through structured and unstructured learning and play time outdoors, helping children develop the creativity and critical thinking needed to build long-lasting connections with nature. Age appropriate activities let children develop cognitive, social, and emotional skills, encourage cooperative play, practice positive social behavior and communication skills. Our programs are made up of small groups of children with a low student to teacher ratio, allowing each child to get the attention they need. Fairview Farm Wildlife Preserve has plenty of space to explore with quiet forests, trickling streams, colorful meadows, big skies, fresh air, and even some magical places where fairies are thought to live! Are you looking to create posters or work on a personal project but need more space? Join Kath Yarkosky for a two-hour open workshop held every first Thursday of the month! Whether a beginner or an experienced printer, you’ll find a supportive community and space to explore our wood and lead-type collection. We have a Vandercook Universal #1 press, a Galley proofing press, and a large selection of inks. The workshop will provide various papers for proofing and printing. Students provide: Any materials you wish to run through the press should be relatively flat. Suitable items include dried plants, paper cut-outs, clothing, and stuffed animals (without their stuffing). If you have any questions about the materials, please contact Kath at kath AT frontlinearts DOT org. Additionally, bring a sketchbook to jot down ideas and take notes.
