SUMMARY:Juan Fernando Velasco
DESCRIPTION:Juan Fernando Velasco stands as Ecuador’s most influential pop artist of the past 25 years. A two-time Latin Grammy® nominee\, Emmy®-winner\, and holder of dozens of gold and platinum certifications for exceptional sales\, Velasco has cemented his status as his country’s foremost musical ambassador\, both at home and abroad. \nSince embarking on his solo career in 1999 with the release of his debut album\, he has consistently dominated the charts. Signature hits such as “Para que no me olvides\,” “Déjame\,” “Chao Lola\,” “Hoy que no estás\,” “Dicen\,” “Nunca\,” and “Tú no me perteneces” have resonated across generations\, becoming personal anthems for fans everywhere. His concept albums—Con toda el alma and Misquilla\, which celebrates Ecuadorian pasillos—alongside his latest record\, POPular\, a collection of his greatest hits reimagined in contemporary pop arrangements\, have each shattered sales and airplay records. \nA sought-after collaborator\, Velasco has recorded with luminaries including Franco de Vita\, Fonseca\, Andrés Cepeda\, Gilberto Santa Rosa\, José Luis Rodríguez “El Puma\,” and Noel Schajris\, among many others. \nHis most recent project\, Julio Eterno\, pays homage to the immortal Julio Jaramillo\, one of Latin America’s greatest romantic voices. Leveraging cutting-edge audio restoration technology\, the original recordings of Jaramillo—who would have celebrated his 90th birthday this year—were meticulously revived and blended with Velasco’s own vocals. Produced by multi-Grammy®-winner Andrés Castro\, Julio Eterno presents five newly crafted duets and is now available on all streaming platforms.

DESCRIPTION:After five decades\, 38 SPECIAL continues bringing their signature blast of Southern Rock to over 100 cities annually. At every show\, thousands of audience members are amazed by the explosive power of the band’s performance. Their many Gold and Platinum album awards stand as testament to the endurance of a legendary powerhouse. \nWith sales over 20 million\, most associate the band with their arena-rock pop smashes\, “Hold On Loosely\,” “Rockin’ Into the Night\,” “Caught Up in You\,” “Fantasy Girl\,” “If I’d Been the One\,” “Back Where You Belong\,” “Chain Lightnin’\,” “Second Chance\,” and more. Timeless hits that are immediately recognizable from the first opening chord. \nGuitarist/vocalist and founding member\, Don Barnes\, says it’s all about maintaining that intensity in their live shows. “We never wanted to be one of those bands that had maybe gotten a little soft\, or complacent over the years. We’re a team and it’s always been kind of an unspoken rule that we don’t slack up\, we stack up. We go out there every night to win.” \nCompleting the team is bassist Barry Dunaway\, drummer Gary Moffatt\, and keyboardist/vocalist Bobby Capps. The most recent addition to the band is legendary virtuoso guitarist and vocalist Jerry Riggs. \nSince 1976\, the band has released more than 15 albums. And from the start\, they’ve toured relentlessly\, bringing their signature brand of ‘muscle and melody’ to fans worldwide. It is that steely determination that lives on in the hearts of these ‘Wild-Eyed Southern Boys.’ Barnes adds\, “This music keeps our wheels on the road. We’re a band that’s tried to stay honest with what has driven us over the years. We started out with nothing but bold determination to make our own history and to endure. Looking back now\, it has been our greatest pride to have persevered and attained that level of success and longevity. For us\, it’s the ultimate validation.”
