SUMMARY:The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940
DESCRIPTION:The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940\nThe creative team responsible for a recent Broadway flop (during which three chorus girls were murdered by the mysterious “Stage Door Slasher”) assemble for a backer’s audition of their new show at the Westchester estate of a wealthy “angel.” Comic mayhem ensues when the infamous “Slasher” makes his reappearance and strikes again — and again. As the composer\, lyricist\, actors and director prepare their performance and a blizzard cuts off any possible retreat\, bodies start to drop in plain sight and accusing fingers point in all directions. \nAn ingenious and wildly comic romp poking fun at the more ridiculous aspects of “show biz” and the corny thrillers of Hollywood’s heyday\, the play is a non-stop barrage of laughter as those assembled (or at least those who aren’t killed off) untangle the mystery of the “Stage Door Slasher.” \n“…a kind of crossbreeding of Charles Ludlam (The Mystery of Irma Vep) and Terrence McNally\, seasoned with a soupçon of Noises Off.” —The New York Times. \n“…enormous fun…Its strength comes in part from the sheer diamond wit and diamante showbiz glitter of Bishop’s writing. Even his corn is succulently served.” —New York Post. \n“…Bishop gives us a nakedly silly and relentlessly convoluted murder-mystery plot\, with twist piled on twist till you have to give way and start laughing at the silliness… it’s hugely enjoyable.” —Village Voice. \n“MURDERS is the intelligent person’s kind of nonsense.” —New York Magazine.

SUMMARY:34th Annual Stream Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:34th Annual Stream Cleanup\nJoin more than 1\,000 volunteers across the Raritan River watershed to clean up our waterways for Raritan Headwaters’ 34th Annual Stream Cleanup. In celebration of Earth Week\, volunteers come together to clean up our rivers and streams\, working to protect essential water supplies across Hunterdon\, Morris\, and Somerset counties. \nLast year’s Stream Cleanup was a resounding success and an incredible show of teamwork and volunteerism. More than 1\,000 citizens removed 11 tons of trash and recyclables that threaten our drinking water supplies and wildlife. The impact of this extraordinary effort reaches beyond our watershed region – downstream to Raritan Bay and ultimately\, the Atlantic Ocean. This event is fundamental in protecting clean water but also beautifies precious outdoor spaces and provides safe access for residents to experience the benefits of outdoor recreation.
