Yoga + Hike
Enjoy a 1-hour, indoor, all-level, gentle yoga class taught by certified Yoga instructor and Director of Education, Lauren Theis. Beginners are welcome! Bring your own mat, or there will be a limited amount of mats to borrow. Class will be followed with an optional 1-hour guided hike on the easy trails of Fairview Farm Wildlife Preserve! Pay what you can/wish, all are welcome! Advanced registration is required so we can alert you to changes due to weather.
Warmer in Winter
Do you dread going outside in winter because of the temperature? Do you know the best method to keep warm outside? The answer has two parts; movement and clothing. Join a Naturalist, who loves cold weather, to learn how to dress for outdoor winter success and how fun outdoor activities will keep you warm!
Raised Bed Garden Class
January 11th, 2025 You are invited to join us on January 11th from 1-3:30 PM. Come learn how to make a raised garden bed. The cost is $10 per person. We will provide all the materials you need to learn how to make a garden bed . If you would prefer to take your raised bed that you make home, please bring all the lumber and materials you need! Trees in Winter
Do you want a different nature challenge? Join Dorothy to study trees in winter without the help of leaves. Registrants will be studying twigs and their differences in order to identify the unknown tree. After an indoor session, we will walk the trails to see bark patterns. COST: $12 members, $15 nonmembers.
Astronomy Shows For All Ages at the RVCC Planetarium!
Join us Saturday, January 11th 2025 for astronomy shows and laser concerts for all ages at the RVCC Planetarium! 3:00 pm: The Little Star That Could (ages 6-12) 4:00 pm: Pop Rock Laser Concert (ages 6-adult) 7:00 pm: Asteroid: Mission Extreme (ages 8-adult) 8:00 pm: The Best of Pink Floyd Laser Concert (ages 10-adult) Reservations are recommended but not required.
