SUMMARY:50th Anniversary of the Ted Blum 4-H Center of Somerset County
DESCRIPTION:50th Anniversary of the Ted Blum 4-H Center of Somerset County\nThe Somerset County 4-H Association is inviting 4-H members and volunteers past and present to attend a 50th anniversary celebration of the Ted Blum 4-H Center of Somerset County on Sunday\, June 9\, noon to 4 p.m. The event will honor those who helped to make the 4-H Center at 310 Milltown Road in Bridgewater a reality. A “Walk Down Memory Lane” program will be presented at 1 p.m. followed by a commemorative group photo of all attendees. \nAt the time it opened in 1974\, Somerset County’s 4-H Center was touted as the largest building of its kind in the nation. The Center houses meeting and activity areas for 4-H\, along with offices for 4-H staff and the other county program areas of Rutgers Cooperative Extension. \nGroundbreaking took place in late 1972 and the building was completed in 1974. In 2004\, the Center was renamed the Ted Blum 4-H Center of Somerset County to honor the longtime 4-H agent and National 4-H Hall of Fame inductee who was instrumental in the establishment of the current building and fairgrounds. \nThe event will serve as a homecoming for 4-H alumni and a chance for current 4-H members and the public to learn about the 100-year history of the 4-H Youth Development Program in Somerset County. Light refreshments and food trucks will be on site. \nIf you or a member of your family was involved in the planning\, fundraising\, construction or original dedication of the 4-H Center\, please contact the Somerset County 4-H Association at 4HBuildingandGrounds@gmail.com or (908) 526-6644.

SUMMARY:Monty Python's Spamalot
DESCRIPTION:Monty Python’s Spamalot\nLovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail\, MONTY PYTHON’S SPAMALOT retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table\, and features a bevy of beautiful show girls\, not to mention cows\, killer rabbits\, and French people. Did we mention the bevy of beautiful showgirls? The 2005 Broadway production won three Tony® Awards\, including Best Musical\, and was followed by two successful West End runs. When we first meet Eve Harrington\, she is standing in the rain by the stage door of the theater in which the renowned Margo Crane is starring in her latest long-run hit. Before you know it\, she’s inveigled Margo’s best friend\, Karen\, to get her an invitation to meet the great actress herself. From there\, it’s a short step for the clever Eve to become Margo’s personal secretary and then her understudy. Did we mention blackmail? Yes\, that’s in there\, too! Eve is determined to achieve Broadway stardom and then a Hollywood career\, no matter what\, even if it means leaving the wreckage of her friends’ trust behind her.
