Hand-Drawn Photo Lithography with Victoria Beck
Hand-Drawn Photo Lithography with Victoria Beck Saturday, June 8th, 10am-2pm Members: $130, Non-Members: $145, Materials: $37 Photo-lithography or ‘photo litho’ uses aluminum plates coated with a UV-sensitive emulsion to reproduce an image. The plates are simple to process and store and an easy way to print an edition of lithographs as compared to ball ground plates or stones. This technique is excellent for capturing detail in drawings with subtle shading and also painterly watercolor/wash effects without the need for etching. During this course, participants will learn the various materials used for drawing onto a transparency, exposing the drawing onto a plate, plate development, and how to print their plate. About the Instructor: Victoria Beck is a Lehigh Valley-based artist whose lifelong interest in drawing led her to pursue a career in the arts. She received her BFA from Kutztown University, where she discovered a love of printmaking and had the opportunity to study lithography under Master Printer Tim Sheesley. She has been awarded several research grants to explore printing with both traditional and experimental techniques. Since graduating in 2016 she has spearheaded collaborative print projects while printing professionally for artists such as Faith Ringgold and Ify Chiejina through Raven Editions,

Monty Python’s Spamalot
Monty Python's Spamalot Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, MONTY PYTHON’S SPAMALOT retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and features a bevy of beautiful show girls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits, and French people. Did we mention the bevy of beautiful showgirls? The 2005 Broadway production won three Tony® Awards, including Best Musical, and was followed by two successful West End runs. The outrageous, uproarious, and gloriously entertaining story of King Arthur and the Lady of the Lake will delight audiences as they search for the Holy Grail and “always look on the bright side of life.”
