Weekend Journey Through the Past The annual Weekend Journey through the Past is an opportunity to step back in time and experience the county's rich history. Up to 30 historic sites countywide are open free to the public during the second weekend in October. Somerset County’s annual Journey Through The Past is an initiative of the Somerset County Board of County Commissioners and the Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission in collaboration with many county-wide local historical organizations and commissions and other county organizations. NJSnyder's Fall Festival Come to Snyder’s Farm Fall Festival and enjoy a well-organized day of family fun! From pumpkin picking and loads of fun activities to all your favorite fall comfort foods, like apple cider, cider donuts & yummy food trucks, we have something that is sure to please everyone. The Fall festival is held weekends only, hours are 11am to 6pm last entry and wagon ride to the event field is 4:30 Will not be open on Columbus Day FYI: The tractor pulled wagon is how you get to our fall festal event field, if you do not wish to take the wagon ride and want to walk, upon admission you must ask a team member to give you a driveway pass , those without passes will not be able to gain access to the driveway. Fall Wind Chime Making
Fall Wind Chime Making In this workshop, you will assemble a wind chime using different metal shapes and beads to create a work of art! Our helpful staff will guide you in the best way to creatively make your wind chime! All items needed to make one wind chime are provided, including weather resistant stringing material and a pack of assorted beads. You are welcome to bring any special beads you may like to add to your piece! The Windchime is comprised of shapes, skillfully cut from metal sheets. Glass beads help add color and personality. All of the components, when combined with waxed cord, creates a work of art! Proudly display them outside in your garden, on the front porch, or as décor inside your home. This is a great workshop for both teens and adults. No tools or experience is needed. Pictured, you can see what is provided... We have six themed wind chimes to choose from: FALL MOON, OWL, MOM, BEE, BUTTERFLY, and BUNNY! Be sure to pick the design you want to create during this workshop when purchasing your ticket!

Finley Avenue, Basking RidgeA Celebration of the Stage: Opera to Broadway Light Opera of New Jersey (LONJ) is thrilled to announce its upcoming production, “A Celebration of the Stage: Opera to Broadway,” taking place on October 8, 2023, at 3 PM at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Basking Ridge, NJ. This exciting program will feature selections from beloved operas and musicals, showcasing the incredible range and versatility of the human voice. The program will feature Baritone Troy Cook who has performed with some of the top opera houses in the world, including the Metropolitan Opera, Opera Philadelphia, Boston Lyric Opera and many others. Also appearing will be some of the finest rising stars, currently in the Masters of Opera program at The Juilliard School. The concert will be accompanied by Karen Delavan, who is faculty at The Juilliard School and is a renowned pianist/opera coach.

10 Year Anniversary Oktoberfest @ Flounder
Join us all weekend long as we celebrate 10 years since our first official commercial release! All ages except Saturday after 5 is 21+ It all starts Friday with some awesome beer and we have Walt Syzonenko playing the polka hits on the accordion 6-9. Saturday we'll be outside in the horseshoe so bring the blankets and camp chairs and we've got the Flounder Brass Band playing the traditional Bavarian tunes 1-4. Please note children are welcome but must be with you at all times, for everyone's safety please leave the footballs, soccer balls, etc at home. Outdoors will close at 5. Then Saturday night starting at 5 we are 21+ only inside and we welcome all the way from Pittsburgh the Garrett Tatano Band bringing traditional German mixed with some Rocktoberfest and we will be dancing to close at 10! Then we bring it down a bit on Sunday with a special Brewer's Hour at 11 where we will be featuring a special cask beer. Tickets are required for the Brewer's Hour and can be found at bio.site/flounderbrewing - Delta House members do not need tickets. Special releases all weekend long!!
