Morning Art Intensive: Experimental Art Methods Camp – Teens
Morning Art Intensive: Experimental Art Methods Camp *Teen Week-long Art Course Starting August 28 - September 01, 09:30 am - 12:30 pm* Teens will spend the week learning about and experiencing unpredictable and non-traditional methods of art-making. Students will explore how to use traditional media in new ways, some of the creative activities will include collage, frottage, and a printmaking processes known as a transfer. Health & Safety Policy: The Center has updated its Health and Safety Policies and Procedures related to COVID-19. As of August 22, 2022, vaccinations are suggested but not required. Mask wearing is suggested but not required. Full-day campers (those registered for a morning and afternoon camp) will have a supervised lunch period from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at no extra charge. Special Notes **Sibling Discount** If you are registering more than one child for the same week of camp, please call the office at 908-234-2345 to learn how to receive $20 off each additional child. Cancellation Policy: A full refund will be given to students who cancel at least 3 weeks prior to the start of the Summer Camp Session, less a $50 cancellation fee, per registration. No refunds will be given for cancellations received with less than 3
Morning Art Intensive: Cartooning Camp – Kids 9-11
Morning Art Intensive: Cartooning Camp *Kids ages 9-11 week-long art camp starting August 28 - September 01, 09:30 am - 12:30 pm Students will learn from a professional cartoonist how to draw popular characters such as their favorite superheroes and build the skills to design their own original cartoon characters and action heroes, creating a story board of sequential comic strips! Students will also learn about cartoon classics and play cartoon trivia. Health & Safety Policy: The Center has updated its Health and Safety Policies and Procedures related to COVID-19. In the event of a closure due to the COVID-19 virus, this class will move online using ZOOM. Afternoon Art Camp: Pottery – Teens
Afternoon Art Camp: Pottery *Teen week-long Art Course starting August 28 - September 01, 01:30 pm - 04:30 pm Campers will learn the art of creating in clay in the area’s only pottery camp. Each student will create various projects while learning different techniques and glazing their one-of-a kind creations! Please Note: Students will create multiple pieces that will be fired in a kiln after the last day of camp. Parents will be notified when pieces are ready to be picked up. Afternoon Art Camp: Manga & Anime Camp *Kids 9-11 week long art camp starting August 28 - September 01, 01:30 pm - 04:30 pm Students will learn from a professional cartoonist how to draw and ink in the popular style of Japanese Manga and Anime. They will draw favorites like Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon and develop the skills to create their own characters! Drawing In Depth Camp: Kids 5-8
Drawing In Depth Camp *Kids ages 5-8, week long art camp starting August 28 - September 01, 01:30 pm - 04:30 pm This camp is designed for young artists with a love of drawing who want to deepen and develop their skills. Working from photographs or a different still life or imaginary themes, students will learn about the elements of a good drawing and develop a firm foundation of form, composition, proportion, value, perspective and line quality. The class explores the basic principles of visual art, art historical periods and styles, and the work of well-known artists. The teacher will provide frequent demonstrations.
