Morning Walk at Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary Enjoy a quiet morning here at the Sanctuary walking the trails with an NJ Audubon staff or Associate Naturalist. These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. The walks are cancelled if there is snow, rain, or weather warnings. Registration required by 4:00 PM the day before the walk. You must pre-register, walk-ins will not be allowed to participate. One person per ticket. COST: Free for members, $5 nonmembers. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please bring binoculars if you have them.

U-Pick Blueberries Come pick your own blueberries this summer with your friends and family! Snyders Farm boasts a great atmosphere with farm-fresh produce everyone will enjoy. Families and friends from near and far love the friendly staff and the best-tasting blueberries. Check out the recipe page for some scrumptious recipes. Field fee is $3.00 per person plus cost of berries Pre-picked berries – $7.00 per lb. U-Pick berries $5.00 per lb. Pre picked will be available at our outdoor market on U-Pick weekends When in season hours are Weekends 9AM to 4PM last car in at 3:00 Picking depends on weather and crop availability, so please check our phone message for any updates before you visit. NJ Audubon Photography Instructors’ Summer Exhibition The New Jersey Audubon Photography Instructors’ Summer Exhibition will be held June 1 through September 24, 2023. Join the instructors for Sherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary photography workshop series for an exhibit of nature-oriented photography Phil and Becky Witt, David and Cathy DesRochers, Jack and Ellen Moskowitz and Jacki Dickert will have a show of their nature- oriented images in the Wayrick Wildlife Art Gallery! Nature Infused Yoga with NJ Audubon Ticket sales end at 4:30 PM on the Friday before each class. You must pre-register, walk-ins will not be allowed to participate. Led by Kristin Mylecraine, Yoga Teacher. Yoga is a great way to relax, connect with yourself, and increase flexibility and strength. Explore the connections between yoga and nature in this 75-minute class. No experience necessary; all levels welcome. For ages 15 years and older. Preregistration is required. There will be no class 7/1. We are offering an in-person class at the sanctuary and a virtual class online simultaneously. The in-person class has a limit of 10 people. Touch-a-Tractor Touch-A-Tractor is the ultimate family-friendly event where you can touch, explore and learn about tractors and other fascinating pieces of farm equipment. Bring your kids along to this interactive and educational experience where they can touch the tractors and learn about the different activities that take place on a farm. Children under 36 inches get to participate for free! Experience the thrill of climbing on board a real tractor and getting up close to other farm equipment, including plows, tillers, and seeders. This self guided event will take you through a journey of exploration, the Norz family will be around to answering any questions you may have about farm life.
Somerset Patriots Day @ The Commons Bridgewater Commons teams up with the Somerset Patriots for a special family event where guests can meet Somerset Patriots players (to be named) and Patriots mascot Sparkee, dance with our DJ, get their face painted and take home balloon art.
