NJGet creative! Decorate a scarecrow or build a fabulous design to win Bernardsville Bucks! The local favorite will receive a gift card valid ONLY in Bernardsville stores. Scarecrows will be on display starting Saturday, October 15 through Sunday, October 30. Free to participate, but please sign up ahead so we can be sure to hold a space for you! ALL are welcome to participate: Businesses, residents, schools, clubs, local groups, municipal departments, whoever wants to join the fun to liven up Bernardsville’s commercial district. George Washington's Revolutionary War tent was the office and sleeping quarters that Washington used as the Continental Army’s command center. Somerset County welcomes the Museum of the American Revolution and their replica of Washington's tent to the Courthouse Green this Journey through the Past. Tent set up begins at 9:30 a.m. on October 8, 2022, come early and help set it up!
Far Hills Race Meeting – 101st Running
NJFar Hills Race Meeting is New Jersey’s premier social and sporting event. For nearly a century, this annual gathering has attracted a large and loyal fan base who return, year after year, to watch the world’s finest steeplechases, reconnect with family and friends, network, support worthy causes and make memories to last a lifetime. Over the years, Far Hills Race Meeting has given more than $18 million to support local health-care organizations. The Far Hills Race Meeting traces its origins to the Essex Hunt, a fox hunting event founded in Montclair, NJ in 1870. In 1913, the organizers of the Essex Hunt incorporated as the Essex Fox Hounds. In the tradition of these clubs, the Essex Fox Hounds established an event to thank the farmers and landowners who allowed them to hunt on their property. The Farmer’s Day Race Meeting, as it became known, included the New Jersey Hunt Cup Steeplechase — a race that remains on the Far Hills Race Meeting card today. Nature Infused Yoga
NJTicket sales end at 4:30 PM on the Friday before each class. You must pre-register, walk-ins will not be allowed to participate. Led by Kristin Mylecraine, Yoga Teacher. Yoga is a great way to relax, connect with yourself, and increase flexibility and strength. Explore the connections between yoga and nature in this 75-minute class. No experience necessary; all levels welcome. For ages 15 years and older. Preregistration is required. We are offering an in-person class at the sanctuary and a virtual class online simultaneously. The in-person class has a limit of 10 people. Be sure to purchase the correct ticket. COST: $13 members, $16 nonmembers. Ticket sales ends at 4:30 PM on the Friday before each class. Fall Harvest Days
NJNorz Hill Farm has been in our family since 1922 when Hillsborough was very rural and all of our neighbors were farmers. Today most all of you, our neighbors from near and far, are generations removed from farm families so it is very important to us to be able to provide an educational, breathtaking and fun experience while visiting our Farm. Farm Tours The tour takes you on a hay wagon ride from our farm stand area to the farm, then you can get off and see all the animals. Some of the animals you will find are cows, miniature donkeys (yep, we have a Dominick the donkey!), horses, alpaca, sheep, chickens, goats, pigs, bunnies, emu's and even a zonkey. Then when you have had a chance to see all the animals, you can catch the next hayride right to our pumpkin patch. The Corn Maze Each and every year we dedicate our corn maze to either events that happen on our farm or a great local cause. Join us for an inspirational concert with the NJ Symphony Orchestra Chamber Players, a proud partner of RWJBH Somerset, performing music of hope during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. RWJBH Somerset will on hand to educate the public about Breast Cancer Awareness and schedule mammogram appointments.
Colored Pencil Workshop w/Margaret Fanning
NJColored Pencil In-Person Workshop Saturday, October 15 1:00 -4:00 pm $55 members / $65 non-members In this workshop, students will learn to better master colored pencils with techniques for blending colors, creating hard or soft edges, and heightening value. This workshop will also go over proportion and perspective, how to make objects appear 3-dimensional, and how to better understand and utilize the colors we have. Think of the subjects you'd like to draw with colored pencils: a still life, a floral, a landscape, or a portrait. The possibilities are endless! Students are welcomed to bring their own reference photos to class. Fright Light Laser Concert
NJThe Witches and Ghouls continue to haunt the planetarium. They love our laser songs, including “The Adams Family Theme Song,” “Monster Mash,” and “Ghostbusters.” (recommended for ages 8-adult) Not for young viewers or those easily scared! Features songs including “Alive” by Meatloaf, “Thriller” by Michael Jackson, and “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” by The Charlie Daniels Band. (Recommended for ages 13 to adult)

NJIt’s baaaack… Returning for the 11th time is Wagner Farm Arboretum’s spectacular Halloween-themed “Brite Nites” evening event, showcasing an elaborate display of intricately & creatively hand-carved and LED lighted pumpkins. Updated displays and new installations will be added in 2022. NOTE THIS CHANGE IN EVENT FORMAT:: BRITE NITES WILL BE A DRIVE-THRU FORMAT ON THURSDAY 10/13 AND REQUIRES TIMED-ENTRY TICKETS. The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Throughout the evening his guests in elaborate costumes perform dances and rock songs, as the couple discovers they are there on a very special night, the unveiling of Frank-N-Furter's latest creation: the ultimate male, Rocky Horror.
