Raritan Valley Science and Technology Showcase (RVSTS) at Bridgewater Commons
NJCurious about robotics? Join Bridgewater Commons for RVSTS, one of the largest robotics events in the tri-state area! Event activities include live, large scale robot competitions in Center Court, interactive workspaces to learn about how robots work, robot driving, STEM activities in the Community Hub and much more! RVSTS is produced by four local FIRST High School Robotics Teams to inspire others to develop the science, technology, engineering and math skills needed to become tomorrow’s innovators and leaders. Nature Infused Yoga
NJTicket sales end at 4:30 PM on the Friday before each class. You must pre-register, walk-ins will not be allowed to participate. Led by Kristin Mylecraine, Yoga Teacher. Yoga is a great way to relax, connect with yourself, and increase flexibility and strength. Explore the connections between yoga and nature in this 75-minute class. No experience necessary; all levels welcome. For ages 15 years and older. Preregistration is required. We are offering an in-person class at the sanctuary and a virtual class online simultaneously. The in-person class has a limit of 10 people. Be sure to purchase the correct ticket. COST: $13 members, $16 nonmembers. Ticket sales ends at 4:30 PM on the Friday before each class. Fall Harvest Days
NJNorz Hill Farm has been in our family since 1922 when Hillsborough was very rural and all of our neighbors were farmers. Today most all of you, our neighbors from near and far, are generations removed from farm families so it is very important to us to be able to provide an educational, breathtaking and fun experience while visiting our Farm. Farm Tours The tour takes you on a hay wagon ride from our farm stand area to the farm, then you can get off and see all the animals. Some of the animals you will find are cows, miniature donkeys (yep, we have a Dominick the donkey!), horses, alpaca, sheep, chickens, goats, pigs, bunnies, emu's and even a zonkey. Then when you have had a chance to see all the animals, you can catch the next hayride right to our pumpkin patch. The Corn Maze Each and every year we dedicate our corn maze to either events that happen on our farm or a great local cause. NJHelp us celebrate our 9th Annual Downtown Somerville Oktoberfest! Food, drinks, fun & games! About this event Help us celebrate our 9th Oktoberfest here in Somerville! Saturday, Oct 1st from 1 pm until 9 pm. Located on North Bridge St. between Main st and High st. in Downtown Somerville Another annual Oktoberfest Celebration brought to you by Tapastre & Project PUB. Eat, drink and be merry! Local craft beers and traditional Oktoberfest brews will be on hand, along with plenty of food from local restaurants and live music from awesome bands throughout the day. We will be featuring local Oktoberfest brews, along with fall seasonals, pumpkin beers, sangria, mead and cider, as well as a collection of craft beers for those not feeling the Marzen style. Along with our giant beer pong, we will also feature our annual Stein Holding Contest, our custom beer puppeteer setup, and also pumpkin painting and temp tattooes for the kids. Winslow, An Evening of the Eagles
