Celebrate the life and legacy of Ruth Bader Ginsburg with the critically-acclaimed documentary, RBG! Including an added feature, an interview with the film’s directors, Betsy West and Julie Cohen. During her lifetime, the late U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg—who passed recently at the age of 87—developed a lengthy legal legacy while becoming an unexpected pop culture icon. But the unique personal journey of her rise to the nation's highest court was largely unknown, even to some of her biggest fans—until the release of the critically acclaimed documentary RBG. RBG explores Ginsburg's life and career. From Betsy West and Julie Cohen, and co-produced by Storyville Films and CNN Films. To buy the documentary, it is a one-time cost of $6.99. All proceeds will be donated to the ACLU Women’s Rights Project, which was co-founded by Justice Ginsburg in 1972.

Exhibition: Photography by Dana Benner

Gallery on Main's "Artist of the Month" series continues with an exhibition of landscape photographs by award-winning, central New Jersey-based artist Dana Benner. Admission is free, and the artist’s works are available for purchase — including original prints on archival paper (framed and unframed), handmade photo cards and one-of-a-kind jewlery. Meet the artist at a free opening reception on Saturday, October 3, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Please note: Due to COVID-19, for everyone’s safety social distancing guidelines are in effect and MASKS MUST BE WORN PROPERLY at all times. No exceptions. Dana Benner has been a photographer for most of her life. As the daughter of a photographer, she grew up with a camera in her hand at an early age. However, it wasn't until college and after graduation that she pursued photography as a career. Says Dana, “I enjoy capturing the scenery of the beautiful places I visit along with the serendipitous moments that appear all around us. In the turmoil of the past few months as I thought about a body of work for my exhibit, I kept returning to a beautiful poem by Wendell Berry titled ‘The Peace of Wild Things.’ This poem was the inspiration

Downtown Bernardsville Scarecrow Stroll

Join in the first ever scarecrow decorating and display contest throughout downtown Bernardsville! Scarecrows will be on display from October 18 – 31 for all visitors to walk through and cast their vote! Ballots will be available at participating businesses. Display areas will be posts throughout the Olcott Square district from the corner of Church Street and Route 202 to the corner of Claremont Road and 202. Scarecrows will adorn both sides of the street. Decorating is encouraged by residents, students AND businesses, or residents can sponsor a business. Space is limited so register for your space early!

It’s back…Returning for the 9th time is Wagner Farm Arboretum’s spectacular Halloween-themed “Brite Nites” event, showcasing an elaborate display of intricately & creatively hand-carved and lighted pumpkins. Brite Nites will run Wednesday through Sunday of each week for 3 weeks, from 6:30 pm - 10 pm. Dates will be October 14 - 18, October 21 - 25 and October 28 - November 1. The cost Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday is $25.00 per car. The cost Friday and Saturday is $30.00 per car. In order to maintain social distancing, tickets must be purchased in advance - NO ticket sales at the gate.
