NJ Audubon: Nature Infused Yoga Fall/Winter Series Led by Kristin Mylecraine. Yoga Teacher & NJA Senior Research Scientist Yoga is a great way to relax, connect with yourself, and increase flexibility and strength. Explore the connections between yoga and nature in this 75-minute class. No experience necessary; all levels welcome. For ages 15 years and older. Please arrive 10 minutes early and bring a yoga mat if you have one (some will be provided.) Walk-ins are welcome. This class will be held weekly from 11/2/19 to 1/4/20. (There will be no class 11/30/2019 and 12/28/2019.) When Saturdays, from November 2, 2019 through January 4, 2020 (9:30am to 10:45am). Non-Toxic Etching: Coffee Lift and Soft Ground with Len Merlo and Lindsey Knipe

In this course at Frontline Arts, students will create two small editions of prints from copper plates using soft ground and the coffee lift technique. Over the course of two sessions, students will have the opportunity to incorporate hard ground etching and acrylic sprayed aquatint into their work. The overall goal of this class is to introduce non-toxic alternatives into traditional intaglio printmaking techniques. No etching experience required!

Whitehouse Wind Symphony Free Holiday Concert

The Whitehouse Wind Symphony, a community band under the direction of Branchburg resident James P. Sheeley, Jr., will present a free holiday concert on Saturday, December 14th at 3:00pm at St. John’s Episcopal Church (the band’s rehearsal venue), located at 158 West High Street in Somerville. This is the last of four holiday concerts the band is presenting this December. Concertgoers will enjoy the band’s arrangements of classic Christmas carols such as “Good King Wenceslas,” “Hark The Herald Angels Sing,” “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen,” “Good Christian Men, Rejoice,” “Oh Come, All Ye Faithful,” and “Here We Come A’Caroling.” The band will also play some favorite holiday songs such as “Jingle Bells,” “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” and “Frosty the Snowman.” Children will be invited to ring sleigh bells as the band plays “Sleigh Ride” by Leroy Anderson. Audience members will also have the opportunity to sing along with the band! This concert is free and open to the general public, although donations will be accepted to benefit the band, a non-profit group comprised entirely of volunteer musicians. Traditions of the Season with Jersey Harmony Chorus

On December 14, 2019 at 7:00 pm, Jersey Harmony Chorus, an award-winning a cappella choral group, will sing a joyous and moving collection of favorite holiday carols in the barbershop style. Jersey Harmony Chorus is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, a worldwide, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and teaching four-part barbershop harmony for women’s voices. The chorus is directed by Kat Britt who won the Sweet Adelines’ Regional Novice Director Award in 2012 and who later went on to become a coveted Harmony 500 Director. The evening will be filled with song, storytelling, and lots of holiday cheer. The concert will be held at the Recreation Hall at Griggstown Reformed Church, 1065 Canal Road, Princeton, NJ. Tickets are $18 in advance, Students and Seniors $15; $20 at the door, Students and Seniors $18.
