NJ Audubon: Hackettstown Old Fish Hatchery and Great Meadows Field Trip Field Trip led by Terry Carruthers, NJA Associate Naturalist Join Terry on a half day birding excursion to Warren County. At these wetlands we should see ducks, wintering snipe, larks, pipits, and gulls. We'll start at the Hatchery and caravan from there. When Saturday, November 23, 2019. NJ Audubon: Nature Infused Yoga Fall/Winter Series Led by Kristin Mylecraine. Yoga Teacher & NJA Senior Research Scientist Yoga is a great way to relax, connect with yourself, and increase flexibility and strength. Explore the connections between yoga and nature in this 75-minute class. No experience necessary; all levels welcome. For ages 15 years and older. Please arrive 10 minutes early and bring a yoga mat if you have one (some will be provided.) Walk-ins are welcome. This class will be held weekly from 11/2/19 to 1/4/20. (There will be no class 11/30/2019 and 12/28/2019.) When Saturdays, from November 2, 2019 through January 4, 2020 (9:30am to 10:45am). (Please note, there will be no class November 30, 2019 or December 28, 2019) Where Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary, 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ 07924 Cost & Registration Cost for all 8 classes: $88 members, $112 nonmembers. Break the mould of silkscreen printing as a graphic art! This workshop will explore silkscreen monoprinting in subtle, painterly ways, building a suite of images in soft layers, transparent masks and unique mark-making. A perfect workshop for painters and printmakers, this course is more exploratory than technical; artists will print a suite of 20 prints investigating color and mark-making, transparency and tone, scale and shape, and methodical, freeform design. This course will loosen your printmaking muscles and develop skills to add to your future works! All skill levels welcome and encouraged!

NJ Audubon: Turkey Talk Family Program, led by Dorothy Smullen, Teacher/Naturalist Wild turkeys are beautiful birds. Check out their feathers and hear their calls in an indoor presentation. After a short walk to look for their favorite food, children will create a pine-cone turkey for the holiday table. Dorothy Smullen is a naturalist and former high school science educator. She was the President of the New Jersey Mycological Association and the Northeastern Mycological Federation. She received her MA in Biology from Brooklyn College, and in 2016 received the North American Mycological Association's 2016 Gary Lincoff Award for Contributions to Amateur Mycology.
