We'll look for Red-headed Woodpecker, Bald Eagle, Wood Duck, Rusty Blackbird, late migrants, and wintering species. Waterproof footwear is recommended. When Saturday, November 2, 2019. NJ Audubon: Nature Infused Yoga Fall/Winter Series Led by Kristin Mylecraine. Yoga Teacher & NJA Senior Research Scientist Yoga is a great way to relax, connect with yourself, and increase flexibility and strength. Explore the connections between yoga and nature in this 75-minute class. No experience necessary; all levels welcome. For ages 15 years and older. Please arrive 10 minutes early and bring a yoga mat if you have one (some will be provided.) Walk-ins are welcome. This class will be held weekly from 11/2/19 to 1/4/20. (There will be no class 11/30/2019 and 12/28/2019.) When Saturdays, from November 2, 2019 through January 4, 2020 (9:30am to 10:45am). Print & Repeat: Letterpress Printed Patterns with Dave DiMarchi

Using simple letterpress and relief printing techniques at Frontline Arts, artists will create an edition of text and image-based prints, suitable for wheat paste and wallpaper installations, wrapping papers, protest posters. Exploring repeat pattern imagery and text, artists will learn how to properly carve and print a 2-color linoleum block and vintage wood type. Artists should anticipate printing multiples on lightweight papers with oil-based inks and will each be given an ample amount of pre-made wheat paste adhesive—primed and ready to hang their prints on walls, trees, windows-you name it! Beginner’s welcome, letterpress and/or relief printing experience not required!

The Sky Above All ages are welcome to this one hour sensory- friendly program. The show will provide a comfortable and judgment-free space that is welcoming to all families. The doors will remain open so that children will be able to come and go. Lights will be left dim and audio will be lowered and at a consistent level. The sky show will include: music, videos, planets, the Moon, constellations and laser lights. It is a collection of music, music videos, laser images choreographed to songs and one short story. Each song is of course 3-4 minutes. One about a rocket ride, another about the planets, constellations, etc. It is not a typical planetarium show at all. There is no lecture, just lots of music and visuals to go with the songs. If your students can watch a kid’s TV show or a movie, then this show may not be for them. It is designed for students with very short attention spans. Reservations recommended. Also shown on December 7 @ 5:00 pm

Light Opera of New Jersey will hold its 2019 gala on Saturday November 2, 2019, 6:30 pm at the Fellowship Cultural Arts Center, 8000 Fellowship Road, Basking Ridge, NJ. This exciting evening of song, food, and merriment benefits LONJ, allowing us to increase outreach, to expand our efforts in educating pre-professional students, and to maintain the high quality of our main stage productions.
