SOMERSET NJ – On Saturday, September 28th, Franklin Township Parks & Recreation will host the Township’s annual Franklin Day Festival (FDF) from 12:00pm to 5:00pm at Colonial Park, Lot C in Somerset, NJ. Over 20,000 Franklin Township residents, local businesses, and artists and visitors from neighboring towns attended the festival last year! This special event offers a day of fantastic family fun including an array of attractions along with the eclectic musical stylings of live bands on the main stage. There is something for everyone whether you’re a fan of Jazz, R&B, Pop, Rock or Gospel! The FDF cultural stage will also feature instrumentalists, dancers, and singers performing music from around the world. The Franklin Day Festival includes popular programs designed for children, adults, and seniors. So bring the entire family! Our annual Artwalk will display artwork solicited by the public, as well as, from Franklin Township Public School students. Popular attractions such as inflatable rides, pony rides and the petting zoo are back for children of all ages. Attendees will also have over 100 vendors to enjoy! Help us celebrate our 7th Oktoberfest here in Somerville! Saturday, Sept. 28th from Noon until 9 pm. Located on North Bridge St. between Main st and High st. in Downtown Somerville Another annual Oktoberfest Celebration brought to you by Tapastre & Project PUB. Eat, drink and be merry! Local craft beers and traditional Oktoberfest brews will be on hand, along with plenty of food from local restaurants and live music from awesome bands throughout the day. We will be featuring: local Oktoberfest brews, traditional Marzen style ales, fall seasonals, pumpkin beers, sangria, mead and cider as well as a collection of craft beers for those not feeling the Marzen style. Along with our giant beer pong, we will also feature our annual Stein Holding Contest, a live Brews & Brushes painting experience and our Brat Eating Competition.
