Marsha Goldberg: Reiterations – Paintings & Works on Paper

The Center for Contemporary Art 2020 Burnt Mills Road Bedminster, NJ 07921 (908) 234-2345 Marsha Goldberg works primarily in painting, drawing, and printmaking, and has recently been making cyanotypes from ink-on-acetate drawings. In 2013, she received the NJ State Council for the Arts Fellowship in the category Works on Paper. In her current work, which combines cyanotype and drawing media, she continues her investigation into war-related images and their dissemination in news media. He focuses primarily on wood-firing vessels and urns inspired by Japanese and Etruscan wares. Shoe Donation Pop Up at Raritan Valley Community College

Branchburg, NJ – Give shoes, give love, go green! In honor of Earth Day, Raritan Valley Community College Student Government is hosting a shoe drive pop up event to keep gently worn shoes out of landfills and instead donate them to Soles4Souls, a non-profit social enterprise that creates sustainable jobs and provides relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the world. On April 26th from 9am to 1pm bring your new or gently-worn shoes of any kind to Raritan Valley Community College, 118 Lamington Rd, Branchburg, NJ 08876. Shoes can be dropped off with Soles4Souls and RVCC students at the main entrance in the lower parking lot. The Student Government Association at Raritan Valley Community College has been collecting shoes for Soles4Souls since last year and so far, have kept more than 4,000 pairs out of the trash and into the hands of Learn More ...

Friday Afternoon Movie at Bernardsville Library: “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?”

On Friday, April 26 at 2:00 pm, Bernardsville Public Library will present a free screening of "Won’t You Be My Neighbor" (2018), an insightful documentary on the life of Fred Rogers, the beloved host of the popular children's television show “Mister Rogers' Neighborhood.” Nothing was too little or too big for Mr. Rogers to explain to kids—from why it’s important to share, to why parents get divorced, to how we landed on the moon, to the assassination of Bobby Kennedy, and many other serious topics that many adults think children should be shielded from.
