Marsha Goldberg: Reiterations – Paintings & Works on Paper

The Center for Contemporary Art 2020 Burnt Mills Road Bedminster, NJ 07921 (908) 234-2345 Marsha Goldberg works primarily in painting, drawing, and printmaking, and has recently been making cyanotypes from ink-on-acetate drawings. In 2013, she received the NJ State Council for the Arts Fellowship in the category Works on Paper. In her current work, which combines cyanotype and drawing media, she continues her investigation into war-related images and their dissemination in news media. He focuses primarily on wood-firing vessels and urns inspired by Japanese and Etruscan wares. There are just so many ways to celebrate America’s favorite sandwich, and the Grain House is offering an entire month of grilled cheese creations. Tiferet Journal Poets to Read at Bernardsville Public Library

Celebrating the sharing spirit of National Poetry Month (April) and continuing a popular poetry series, six New Jersey poets whose work has appeared in Tiferet Journal will read from the publication and their other works on Monday, April 15 at 7:00 pm at Bernardsville Public Library. An open mic reading and a reception with light refreshments will follow the featured readers. “Tiferet is a non-sectarian, non-dogmatic publication at the nexus of literature and spirituality,” said Donna Baier Stein, a Bernardsville resident who founded the quarterly Journal in 2005. “The name refers to a stable center where the physical and spiritual realms meet. Tiferet Journal publishes high quality poetry, prose and art that further meaningful dialogue about what it is to be humane in today’s world. We are especially happy to share the works of these wonderful poets, all of whom have been published in Tiferet, with the Bernardsville Library audience.” Guest poets will be Yehoshua November, Vasiliki Katsarou, Tom Plante, Gretna Wilkinson, Charles Johnson and Deborah LaVeglia. National Poetry Month was inaugurated by the Academy of American Poets in 1996.
