The Center for Contemporary Art, in partnership with Art Educators of New Jersey, invites you to celebrate a month of exhibitions and events focused on young artists. Exhibit Part I: Artwork by students in grades K-5 Exhibit Dates: March 11 – 24, 2019 Reception: Sunday, March 24, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Awards Presentation: 2:30 p.m. Exhibit Part II: Artwork by students in grades 6-12 Exhibit Dates: March 25 – 31, 2019 Reception: Sunday, March 31, 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Awards Presentation: 2:30 p.m. Gallery Hours Monday – Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday – Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closed Sundays and major holidays The galleries are open during regular hours of operation and on evenings and weekends when classes and workshops are in session. Women in the Arts (Art Show) @ the Farmstead Arts Center

The Farmstead Arts Center presents the Women in the Arts show, an exhibition which will display work by notable women artists in honor of Women’s History Month. The show be displayed in the Farmstead gallery from March 3rd to April 7th. Free admission. Farmstead Arts’ annual celebration of Women’s History Month will kick off with the Women in the Arts exhibit, featuring work by five regional artists: Roberta Scott of Middlesex, Laura Shabazz of Bernardsville, Harmony Dougher of Summit, Irene Grabowski of Basking Ridge, and Diane Churchill of Nyack, NY. The exhibit will feature a variety of mediums, including painting, collage and photography. Most works will be for sale. An opening reception will take place on March 3rd from 1pm to 4pm. Gallery hours for Women in the Arts will be held from Mondays to Wednesdays, 10am to 1pm, and Saturdays and Sundays, 1pm to 4pm, excluding March 17th and March 31st.

Your pysanky creation can serve as a gift or decoration for years to come! The Jacobus Vanderveer House has a workshop coming up on March 31st beginning at 12 pm. Come out with family and friends to learn this art form under award winning instructor Patty Wiszuk De Angelo! Join us for tea and conversation as Julie Maloney, Director of Women Reading Aloud, conducts an up-close and personal interview with best-selling author Fiona Davis at Bernardsville Public Library on Sunday, March 31 at 2:00 pm. Books will be available for purchase and a book signing will follow the interview. Ms. Davis’s latest captivating novel, “The Masterpiece” (2018) takes readers into the glamorous lost art school within Grand Central Terminal, where two very different women, fifty years apart, strive to make their mark on a world set against them.
