The show will be on view in the Library's Community Room from January 3 to January 30, 2019. The artist will host an opening reception on Sunday, January 6 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Joanne Smith Bodnar is a watercolor and pastel artist. Traditional and creative whimsical pieces make up most of her painting subject matter. She has been a painter and teacher for over 35 years. Design and color are strong components of her work. Music, a play on words, and finding unusual objects for subject matter influence the compositions of her paintings. Many of her paintings are inspired from just one object, from which she proceeds to develop an entire painting. She has exhibited extensively in juried shows, won numerous awards, and has paintings in several corporate and many private collections.
